St Thomas Excursion on our own

Ok... this is what we would like to accomplish, please tell me if this is too much for the time we have?

Coral World - First thing, hoping for a 9:15 time slot for the sea lion swim which takes 50 min, along with travel there, off board time at 7:45 should get there on time? Then look around Coral world for a bit, would like to see turtle, touch pool.

Then.... go next door to Coki Point beach, to swim, snorkel, and relax a bit? I hear the colorful fish are plentiful?

Then.... Head back to the dock area and shop and maybe Great bay beach area, or Maybe swing up to Drakes seat?

We are thinking about renting a car, as this maybe to hard to do with a taxi or bus?

please tell me what you think.... Too much? Is this Do-able? Anybody who has done any of these things and what you thought of them?
Should we rent a car?

Top of the list is the Sea Lion Swim!

It's certainly doable. All Ashore time is 7:45 am, All Aboard is 3:30 pm. Travel time by taxi (each way) is about 20-25 minutes. If you allow 3 hours for Coral World, another hour for the beach (and don't forget lunch)... you could be back at the pier by about 2:00pm. At that point, you can play the rest by ear. There's plenty of shopping right at the pier. If you're at Havensight, Paradise Point Tramway is a short walk away. It's easy to do in an hour, with time to spare. If you're at Crown Bay, don't try to squeeze the tramway into your day.

But... Don't count on being off the ship right at 7:45. Even if you're off by 8:15 you should have a fair amount of time to get there for a 9:15 (well, plan to be there by 9:00). I'd suggest taxi - the time spent on renting and dropping-off a car will be pretty precious, and you will be on unfamiliar roads. Allow about 15 minutes extra for actually getting into the cab after you're off-ship.

Since Coral World and Coki Beach are right next to each other, it's a good choice. Travel to any other beach will again make timing a bit tight.
