My excursion booking opens soon and I plan on being on-line when it opens so that I can try to get a cabana rental on Castaway Cay. Where do I go on my booking to make this reservation? Under each day of my itinerary it has Add Activities but it is grayed out. Is that where I go to select (or at least try to select) a cabana rental? I'm assuming that the grayed out will become live once my booking window opens. Any help is appreciated!
It will show up on Castaway Cay under. It will be listed under port adventures. You actually go in and select a specific cabana number.
They are typically gone when the 120 day mark hits. That is when Platinum Castaway Club and Concierge guest can start booking . I know for concierge guest I don’t even wait for the concierge to book. They get in the next day after the booking window has open. Sometimes they don’t are not even able to get them. There are 16 on the family beach and 4 at the adult beach.
I have rented the cabana twice for my family. I just did it last week. I will post pictures soon on my Facebook page.
Don’t be discouraged if they are gone when you go online. Keep checking back. I have seen them open up. If they do not get one before you go be sure to check with guest services when you arrive. They do take names for a wait list.
Good luck.

We had a Family Cabana and just loved it........worth every penny to us!
Don't be disappointed, however, if on your booking day opening that they are all sold out. Just keep checking and be persistant. I had checked daily for weeks and then one suddenly became available!
Also, a family next to us in a Cabana said they checked once on board because there were none available on line and got theirs that way as someone cancelled at the last minute.
If you can actually choose specific cabins, which ones are better...although I am sure they are all great...are some better then others...hammocks, close to bathrooms and food, better beach area?? Thanks!
We loved it too. We had #1 because it is an ADA cabana and my brother is in an electric chair. I think that one is permentaly reserved. Some are on the family beach and some on Serenity bay! It was such a great experience.
