So on Thursday we will be taking off for the Dream 3 night followed by 4 night at Poly Club level with Theme Park view... The trip is a surprise as our her grandparents 5 doors down from us... Anyone have advice as to when/ how to tell her? She will be 4 Friday and LIVES for adventures...
Do a scavenger hunt with hints. You can use photos for where the next clue will be. Then at the end you can have Mickey with a ship or a picture of the ship or something like that.
One of my nephews bday I did gifts with stuff he would want for disney with the last present a "card from Mickey Mouse" that I made saying that Mickey couldn't wait for him to be there.....one year I also printed a photo from computer glued it to cardboard and made it into a puzzle for each of my nephews. With a caption of Can't wait to see you in September, I think it was. Haven't surprised my Dgds yet need to do that next trip. It is so much fun!
We haven't told our children yet; we booked in September but wanted to make sure we could afford to pay it all.
I've never kept it quiet this long before and the suspense is killing me but will be worth it. About 1-2 weeks before, I plan to leave Disney stickers scattered around for when they wake up and towards the end of that week, give them a treasure hunt with the prize being the print out of the details
Last time they knew about it and I put notes in daily, with their lunches but they won't be at school for the weeks leading up!
Good luck with yours
We're actually going the "surprise route" this time... the boys have no idea. We plan on getting them into the car late at night for a "surprise visit to Lala and Papa's"...we figure if we leave our house around 11p.m. and don't make a big deal, that we can probably get at least the younger two to sleep right away. By the time the oldest starts to ask questions, we're going to tell him we're "going to the beach" - which we are, just the Beach Club. We can't wait to see their faces!
Last trip, they knew and the oldest help plan a bit, but we still had a special surprise. When we pulled up to our hotel, my parents walked out and opened the car doors. Nolan couldn't get out of his seat fast enough! The baby was struggling to turn (he was still in rear facing car seat) to see the familiar voice and Patrick was so excited he was jumping up and down. I wish I'd caught it on video!
