When you book an excursion online for one of your port days - does it automatically get added to your ship board account, or do they add it after you actually go on it? Do they give you a voucher or something, and how do you know when and where to meet?

It gets added to your shipboard account and they will have tickets for your excursions in your room when you board. It tells on the ticket when and where to meet. :-)

They apply the charge prior to the excursion. Unless you cancel in time, it doesn't matter whether you go on the excursion, or not. They can't replace you with another guest if you don't show up.

Our son got sick the morning of our St. Thomas excursion. The gal at the Port Excursions desk told my DH that they would refund his and my excursion amount if we got a form signed by the Dr. at health services. We really didn't need to see the Dr. and it would have cost $140. We only lost $116 for our excursions so we opted out of seeing the doc.
