My dd and I are going on back to back cruises Jan 6-10 and 10-13 on the Dream. How does this work? Can we stay on board during the transition? We will have to pack up since I wasn't able to book the same cabin.
She was so excited when I was able to book the DVC cruise and sadly said that 3 days wouldn't be enough time so I (oh so reluctantly )booked the 4 day preceeding that.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
Hello! We did back to backs last Oct on the Dream, and it was really easy! You pack up your bags, but leave them in your room. Your stateroom attendants will move them to your new room. You have to leave the ship, but not as early as the others. We ate breakfast at our assigned time, but then wandered the ship and eventually kicked back on the comfy couches by the coffee bar, one level above the main atrium floor. You will have to go through customs, but you won't have your bags, so that'll make it easier. Immediately after customs, you'll go back up the escalator, where you'll hang out until they're ready to check you in for cruise #2! Odds are you won't be the only ones doing this, there were abut 4 families there with us. After you check in (it'll be before the other guests), you'll hang out behind the curved glass area (look for it when you board the first time), near Mickey's ears. They'll let you one before the other guests. Something to note...they probably won't take your picture as you board the 2nd time, so if you want to purchase this picture do so n your first cruise. Once you board you can take pictures in the atrium. We traded cameras with other families and got nice family pics. Then you can go hang out by the pool. We had around 45 min to an hour before we started seeing other people. Your stateroom should be ready even before the others, but be prepared that it might not. I think this about covers it!! Oh, almost forgot!! We loved our servers so much that they moved our table around for the 2nd cruise, and we got them again!! Feel free to ask if you have more questions.
