Castaway Club Tip In theory, all repeat Disney cruisers should receive Castaway Club benefits (gift in stateroom, invitation to private reception) whenever they sail. In practice, this is not a "given," even when you have a Castaway Club membership number. You have to be proactive about obtaining those benefits, because quite simply, DCL's reservation systems aren't as all-knowing as we'd like. First, after your first sailing, call DCL (888-325-2500) to obtain your Castaway Club membership number. Then, whenever you make reservations (or reservations are made on your behalf) be sure to supply that number. This is especially important when your reservations are being made by a travel agent, a friend or relative. If Disney isn't given your Castaway Club number, they'll assume you're a first-time cruiser and you won't receive those benefits when you sail. Also, if you've cruised several times with Disney, I suggest you phone DCL to make sure that all your Disney sailings are listed under a single Castaway Club number. You may find, as I did, that you have several numbers. They'll be able to combine those all into a single account.

Re: Castaway Club Tip Does each passenger get their own number or are you issued a family number? We will be taking our first cruise in November, but I am sure it will not be our last!

Re: Castaway Club Tip [ QUOTE ] Each individual should get a number. [/ QUOTE ] We called last night to get our new Castaway numbers and make sure they were on for our MouseFest cruise! ![]() The CM told us they no longer give individual #'s but one per family, then look up your individual names and cruise dates from there! Can anyone else confirm that this is the correct policy and not a confused CM! ![]() Thanks, Tim

Re: Castaway Club Tip We gave our TA my number (It's in my dad's name since on our first cruise he was the only "adult") but if per chance we don't get the benifits when we arrive at the ship how would we tackfully request the benifets without looking greedy or demanding? We would obviously be polite but any advice? Minnesota

Re: Castaway Club Tip It's obvious that you'll be polite, and that's all that's needed. I'd make a point of asking about Castaway Club benefits when you check in at the terminal. All you have to do is explain the situation - that you booked through a TA, and you want to make sure the info is in the system. Nobody will think badly of you for asking.
