Re: Under two Flags A google search for both of these things came up with a whole bunch of links but here is a description from Dreams Unmlimited's web site: Under Two Flags Island Tour (3 hours) During a scenic tour of St. Maarten, two countries in one excursion, the French and Dutch side of this beautiful island, you'll make a short stop at the French capital of Marigot where you can browse the local marketplace and boutiques. Paradise Point Tramway has their own website. Hope this helps!

Re: Under two Flags I haven't done the Two Flags tour - I've given the equivalent many times over the years though (my family owns a house on Sint Maarten). From the description, it won't be a bad tour - it hits a good selection of the representative sights. If you're interested in seeing a bit of everything, rather than focusing on a smaller number of activities, it's a good bet. Jennifer did the Paradise Point Tramway. There's no need to book an excursion for this one - it's a short walk from the pier. Just stroll over at your convenience and pay the fare. The view is impressive, but it definitely classifies as a side-trip, rather than a major activity.

Re: Under two Flags My family did the Under Two Flags Tour this past December. It was just OK. The kids were totally bored (12, 8, 5, and 3). While you will see a few interesting houses along the way, you will also drive through very poor neighborhoods... tumbledown shacks. Not as much scenery as you will get taking the Island Drive on St. Thomas. That was VERY pretty! My recommendations: if it is just adults and you want a tour and shopping, go ahead. If you've got kids in the party, find an age-appropriate excursion for them, just do a beach day by yourself, walk around Phillipsburg, or stay on the ship.
