| Wonder ~ Nassau ~ Looking for a hotel to \"crash\" use beach/pool Wonder - Nassau - Want to go to a hotel for free to use their beach/pool Hi all. We will be on the Wonder this weekend. When we are at Nassau, we want to hand out at a hotel, lay on the beach. (Not the Atlantis, we have stayed there before). Does anyone know of any hotels that don't ask for id's, let you use their beach chairs, swim in their pool? Thanks for the info! ~ Marina 6/03 - Celebrity Horizon ~ Bermuda 7/03 - Carnival Paradise ~ West. Carrib. 7/04 - Disney Wonder ~ Bahamas 7/04 - RCCL Explorer of the Seas ~ West. | Re: Wonder ~ Nassau ~ Looking for a hotel to \"crash\" use beach/pool Hi, we have stayed at the Nassau Beach Hotel and at the Radisson Cable Beach hotel both on cable beach and with one hotel separating them. Both, if you bring your own towel, are areas where you can use their beach and pools. Just walk right in as if you know the place. Go through the lobby and right to the back. The Radisson Cable Beach has a nicer beach and much nicer pool area.(this is where I got married and had 51 family and friends join us) As a matter of fact, my girls to this day speak of the Radisson Cable Beach pool and it was awesome. No slide, but several waterfalls, and a great lay out with jacuzzis as well. If you need more info, look me up on this site and feel free to contact me by direct email. It's also close enough to the hotel (has connecting hallway) which houses the casino at Cable Beach. I forget the name of this hotel. They also have a nice pool and beach area and the pool has a slide. Make sure you bring your own towels. both hotels have restaurants that you can dine at even if you are not a resort guest and shopping in the hallway that connects the hotels. Cable beach can be reached by bus much cheaper than taxi and it's only about a 10 minute ride from the straw market. You can ask anyone where the buses are that take you to cable beach. People are friendly. Don't be hussled into taking a taxi. Ask the driver to drop you off at whichever hotel choose. The first one you will hit is Breezes. Have exact change although now it may be $1 for the fare. It's beautiful. It all depends on what you want to do. If all you want to do is use the pool, and beach, then go to the Radisson Cable Beach. If you want to gamble, then go to the one directly to the right of the hotel as you face the hotel from the front (you should be facing the ocean). Also to consider, is the All-inclusive resort, on the same strip (Breezes) which sells a daily pass and you can certainly use it since it's a long day at Nassau. No one under 18 allowed however. I don't remember how much it was for the daily pass, but it included all your food and alcohol and I remember it being fairly reasonable. You can ask at the front desk of the hotel and also ask to see a list of their activities that are included for the day. Some days have less than others. They have a beach trampoline up on certain days and water skiing is included at this resort for the all-inclusive. All three hotels I mentioned have public restrooms near the pools and lobbies. Out of all of them, the last one I would recommend going to is the Nassau Beach Hotel. Small and not much going on there. Hope this helps. Have a great time and feel free to email me directly if you want. I've been to Nassau about 4 times and have stayed at all the hotels I mentioned. |
