| A month from today ... My daughter and I wil be in Orlando. We will be seeing friends we haven't seen in 4 years since we all went to China to adopt our daughters. A month from tomorrow we will be boarding the Wonder for what will be my first vacation in over 9 years. In that time I've been downsized twice, sold a house, moved out of state, bought another house, my Mother was diagnosed with an Alzheimer's related illness, I adopted my daughter as a single parent, my Mother died and I was out of work for almost 3 years before I found the part time job I've had since 2004. Although I can hardly afford it, I think I'm due for a little R & R. Tonight my 5 year old and I were talking about what character we will see first. I told her that I thought she would most likely be seeing Mickey and Minnie as we boarded the ship. I have never seen her this excited. She actually squealed with excitement! I nearly did too. Once the cruise is over, several families are going to stick around Orlando for two more days. The night we come back we will be going to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey Mouse's Not So Scary Halloween Party and then return there the next day, because, really, it has to be one of the most magical places on earth! Many thanks to those of you who've taken the time to answer my silly questions the past few months. And just so I can be sure and follow the rules for this board, two things ... 1) Is there anything I'm forgetting about the cruise? Special photo ops, seminars, activities from the Navigator that I should make sure we don't miss, really good menu options, etc? and 2) Who do I tell about a typo in the Passporter? On page 5 of the second edition, when it lists the cabins, there is no 2060 but 2050 is shown twice (one of our families is staying in 2060. I found the error when I was labeling the map with everyone's location). Many thanks, |

| Re: A month from today ... Our trip is now pretty firmed up. We arrive in Orlando the day before and most of the families will be spending the night at the Radisson. When the cruise is over, we will be spending two nights at the Pop Century. That first day off the ship we're going to hang by the pool(s) at the Pop, take a little nap, have a little dinner then go to WDW for Mickey's Magical Not So Scary Halloween Party. The next day we're either going to go back for more at the Magic Kingdom (depending on how the kids hold out) or do Epcot or Animal Kingdom. On that Friday we're going to try the Disney dining package. We all fly home at various times on Saturday. And, we're all planning the NEXT reunion in 2007! |
