Costa Maya excursions? Hello all, We are taking our second cruise on March 25. Our first was last year (March 26) as our honeymoon, so this is our 1st anniversary trip. It's a 7 day Western Carribean and initially it was listed as going to Cozumel. That changed to Costa Maya and my Passporter doesn't give any info on the excursions there. What are the reports on the options in Costa Maya, particularly on the horseback riding? Thanks, Keith

Re: Costa Maya excursions? Don't know about the horseback riding. We did a Catamaran Snorkle excursion. It was very nice if you like that kind of thing. The port itself was pretty much built for cruise ships. When you get off the ship, there is a beach with chairs, a salt water pool with pool bar, a big shopping complex with stores of all varieties, and a couple mexican restaurants. The stores range from local vendors to big chain like Diamonds International. This is a port that you could easily not do any excursion and just hang out all day.

Re: Costa Maya excursions? We found that the shopping at the port was much higher than we expected. So, we took a cab to the next town (you have to go outside the gate of the port, otherwise, they herd you on an overpriced bus). The town was charming. On the ocean, wonderful beach, great shopping. And they had outdoor massage. I think it was only $25. It was a wonderful time. Deb
