| New to group & Need some advice.... Hi Everyone! I'm so glad to have found this group! My husband and almost 5 year old son will be going to Universal for 2 days and then on a 4 day Disney Cruise! We have not done either yet - although we absolutley LOVE DISNEYWORLD! We haven't even decided on a date yet, but are leaning towards the 3rd week of April, 2009. Besides needing your opinion on this date, I'm also wondering about transportation issues to and from Universal, and then to Port Canaveral. And anything else you can add to this travel plan!! Thanks so Much in Advance! |

| Hi and welcome! We are going on the cruise this July, but we are doing the land and sea package. I wouldn't know what to tell you about transport, other than using a rental car for your land portion, I think one of the rentals has a drop-off around Port Canaveral. Enjoy your planning! You have time to work things out!

| Thanks, and my question is, what is the most economical, and hopefully trouble-free, way to get from Orlando Airport to Universal, than to Port Canaveral from Universal? My husband heard about Mears, and than getting on the Magical Express bus from the airport once we make our way back from Universal, but this seems like a lot of luggage moving. Would renting a ar - and paying any parking fees - be much more $$ than the Mears/Mgcl Exprs scenario? Just thought maybe someone has already done the homework ........ And yes, I do have plenty of time, but I like the planning process. |
