I'm almost as happy planning a trip as I am taking the trip (well you know what I mean) but I think due to finances we won't be heading to WDW in 2010 to save up for 2011 when dd turns 16. I want to skip a year and save some money so the 2011 trip can be extra special but I'm having problems because my countdown says 616 days. Ouch!!!!!!! I don't know how I'm going to be able to hold out for that many days. I'm just trying to think about all the fun stuff we can do during that trip like the Segway Tour thru Epcot since dd will finally be old enough.

Kris, I know your pain...we went in June for 9 days and DH and I had decided before we went that we would not go again until our youngest was 5...that's THREE YEARS!!! UGH!! We saved for this past trip for a couple of years, and it got delayed twice, so when we finally went we DID Disney. First time on property, first time on the DDP, the kids got to do the Pirate Cruise, we stayed for 8 nights and 9 days. That's what's keeping me going...knowing that if we wait 3 years and really save and plan we will be able to do a great trip for our family again and pull out all the stops!!

I spend a lot of time on here, help anyone and everyone I know plan their trips, and just keep a list of all the things I want to do when we finally go backas incentive. Maybe keep a chart of the money you are saving for the Sweet 16 trip and seeing that add up instead of the large "wait" will be a positive countdown!

Haven't you heard, time does fly, so here's for it flying on angel wings. ( I just hope it slows down for the ten days I'm there, LOL). And if not here's a little pixie dust to help you stay calm and enjoy the planning while you wait

The time will fly by! We took off 4 years (yes, 4!) while we waited for the boys to be old enough to take them. We were so busy during those years and it went very fast. Of course, we are making up for it now as they have already been 2x in the past year and another trip is planned for November.

You'd be amazed at how quickly the time will start to fly by, with all the activities of everyday life. Christmas will be here before we all know it!

DS saw the people on the Segway tour and wanted to do that too. He was a bit crushed when I told him he had at least 10 years before he was old enough.
I think just dreaming of everything you'll be able to do with your daughter because you saved for so long will help make the time go by quicker. (either that or you can always delete your countdown )
