| Welcome to the boards. I have 3 1/2 year old and 18 month old boys. We have done WDW and DLR and many other trips around the world. I suggest starting early and plan a nap/rest time in the middle of the day. Bring snacks and lots of water or juice. Be ready for a meltdown or two at some point and have a plan as to how you want to handle them. We try to be really consistent with time-out no matter where we are or what we are doing. Happy planning!!

| My "babies" are currently 3 and 4, and our upcoming trip will be their 3rd. The first trip they were 23 months and 35 months. My kids have loved EVERY trip and my oldest has memories of that first trip that she'll pull out of nowhere. So, don't think for a second that your kids are too young to enjoy it...they'll love it! We're pretty relaxed while touring. For us, it works really well to take advantage of the morning Extra Magic Hours...we get a lot "accomplished" before park opening. And we ALWAYS take a break for naps and swimming, if we even return to the parks at night at all. If it sounds like more fun to stay by the pool...so be it! Try to carry small snacks at the ready...there's usually something available, but there are times when it's a lot easier to pull out a small pack of crackers to keep everyone's blood sugar levels happy than searching for something they like. There was a moment while planning a while back that I was worried about the kids losing steam (might have been the great "to bring a stroller or not" debate), and my husband said, "But shouldn't we be doing Disney at their pace?" This really stuck with me. Make decisions with their happiness in mind and you'll be happy too! |

| Plan lots of downtime. The best times my kids had were the pool and the playgrounds. They are 4 and 2.

| Thanks for all the tips everyone! My 4yo is sooo excited, she sits on my lap almost every night to look at Disney's website. I know she will love it and we will definitley plan down time, mommy and daddy will probably need it more |
