| Newbie, 3 mths til my first trip w/ young kids! Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself. We are taking our 4 yr old and 20 month to Disney in February for the first time (me and my husband have both been there once before when we were children) and we are staying at Saratoga. Any advice or ideas on good places for kids would be much appreciated! |

| Welcome to the boards. Traveling with kids this age can be a challenge. Renting a double stroller is very important. An afternoon nap is very important as they usually tire easily. Don't expect them to cozy up to the characters easily. Our grand-daughters at five loved the face characters (princesses) but were afraid of the furry ones. It didn't matter that they had watched the movies and knew the characters and really liked them. The size was just too much for them to deal with. We found that autograph books helped a little; but, my wife or I had to be with them to get them close. Hope you have a great time.

| Welcome to the boards! ![]() I just did 9 days in June with an 8, 5 and 2 year old so if you have any questions just fire away! My best advice, plan to be there for park opening and schedule mid-day breaks/rests back at the resort, they were life savers! And don't expect or try to do everything, go at their pace.
