My name is Laura and excited about planning my first Disney vacation in May 2013 . I'm hoping to get some : !! since im a newbie !!!! . I want to celebrate my DD b-day @ WDW but it think it might be crowed since her b-day is on 5-25 around memorial day weekend :S .What do you think an estimate budget should be for 2 adults and a child (6). for 5/6 days @ AOA or Pop century . Thanks !!
and to the boards Laura! Congrats on your upcoming trip!
I haven't been to WDW around Memorial day so, I'm not too familiar with how the crowds would be. But my guess is that it being a major holiday weekend with lots of people off from work and school would make the parks very busy. I would be prepared for it to be at least moderately crowded and expect long lines for the rides/attractions. There is a great website called Touring plans where for a paid subscription gives you access to a great planning tool, a crowd calendar for one year. Disney World | Disneyland - Vacation Planning Tools Might help you out with seeing the crowd levels around that time.
As for the resorts AoA and Pop Century, to figure out a budget I just go to the Walt Disney World website. From there I play around with various dates and resorts to get a rough idea on how much I should budget. I like that you can choose what type of room you want and just take it from there. You can also add on theme park tickets and the dining plan too.
