Hello,
My name is Elizabeth. My husband Jim and I are planning a trip to WDW in Oct 2013 with our son Adam who will be 2yrs old in Nov of this year 2012. Our last time there was Aug 2011. We are hoping that Oct 2013 is an off peak time but we can't seem to get an answer. Our other potion was to try and go mid Sept 2013. We want to be there for all the Halloween celebration. If you have any suggestions we would love it!!
Welcome to the Boards. I have only been to WDW in May. I'm sure people who've gone in October can chime in with their opinions on crowd levels. I did find this response from another site. I found that even when someone says low crowds, it doesn't mean there aren't a lot of people. I remember telling my husband that if what we saw in May was considered high-low to moderate, I didn't want to see a level 10 crowd.
Second- I don't think you will find much difference in crowd levels from Sept to Oct except for holiday weekends (like Labor Day). Either time you go, you will find moderate crowds. Except for Epcot and the FWF most parks will be lower wait times and less crowds than during the summer months or holidays. Have a great time!
Welcome to the boards! We love October and if you plan your parks right, it can be a great time to go! Stay away from Epcot on Friday-Sun...food and wine festival is at that time and all the locals also hit Epcot for that.
