A different kind of countdown..

I have 2 goals before our June Trip..
1- to quit smoking
2-to lose some weight and build up more stamina

I have had some knee issues in the past year and I blew of physical therapy. Our trip in October was not as bad because my son got me a treadmill and I did use it..but March was so bad I had to buy a new pair of shoes because of the swelling.

Now here is the thing. I work from home. So I smoke whenever I want.

Starting January 1st there is no more smoking indoors.
I can do this!

I wanted to start a thread so that I can have people other than my husband "holding me to my word"

So wish me luck and throw in some pixie dust!

You can do it Kat. As a former smoker (believe it or not, since the age of 15), I know how hard it is to quit completely.

I have given it half hearted tries.. and it would make life so much easier. I am just trying to get to that place where I REALLY want to quit.

I also saw what my MIL is going through because of 40 plus years of t least 2 packs a day.

I did get up this morning and take the dogbrat for a walk instead of sitting right down at puter. I have to really push my hubby to fix my bike too!

You can and will do both!

My goal also is to lose weight before our next trip, which will be in late August. Having the trip as a reward is a great incentive
