I started what my family calls my hoard a little over a week ago. Let them call it what they want as I will gently remind them of all their insults to my basket of goodies when they partake in it! Personally I thought most mothers had a spot where they start to throw what they may need for a trip so it's in 1 easy to locate spot of the house?!?! My "hoard" is a good sized basket I picked up from the Dollar Tree filled with those little toiletrees, kids chewable dramamine for car ride, new mini TinkerBell backpack, new camera card, rain ponchos, glow sticks, activity books for the youngest, and so on and so forth. I also have a small food pile next to it and water. But by their descriptions you'd think I had a room packed up to the ceiling. Yes, Yea of little faith we will be well prepared within acceptable limits thanks to Mom....who btw will accept recognition in the way of WDW merchandise (hint hint).
Awesome! My hoard began as soon as I got home from our last visit to the world. I ALWAYS bring way much more $$$ then we need when we are in Disney but its to prepare for any unexpected costs. And you never know when you can sneak into Le Cellier without a ressie or splurge on a balloon ride in DTD or "I really want to have one of those drinks" while touring the world kind of moment. So last trip I must have thought the banks were closing forever because I took too much $ out & just put it in an envelope the extra when I got home & left it in my suitcase. That way all my spending money is already saved & I'm just way too lazy to even think about going up to the attic to borrow from it.
Hmm am I remotely close to being on the topic of hoarding or Disney saving????? So sorry!!!
Woot and congratulations! 20 days-- that seems survivable. We've got 36 ourselves, and I'm getting a little (or maybe a lot) crazy.
Your hoard sounds very reasonable to me. I've been slowly packing for a couple of weeks now, because even though I make packing lists, I tend to forget things. This way I can just toss them in the suitcase as I think of them.

Best moment at a Disney park: when Stitch proposed to me!
I prepair way ahead of time, getting sunglasses, lotion, snacks, swimming stuff, on and on, put it in the vacation location I have learned if I put it in the cases I forget what all I already got or think I have something and dont. So I have a vacation location and be sure to go over all the stuff a week before the trip. You will soon be there we have 222 days.

See I knew I could tell ya'll about my Disney hoard and you'd get it and even think it perfectly normal!
And now we are down to 18 days. I love how it all went by so fast up until this point and now it seems to be dragging by ever so slowly. Even my normal busy isn't helping so it's time to kick it up. For instance, my china hutch looks like its time to break everything out and clean it....can't have those Disney snowglobes dusty now! Nope.
Yep cleaning a hutch takes time, getting it all out then putting it all back after it all is washed off. I have 2 of them and if you want you can come do them but the time your back home it will be time for your trip.

You are not alone! I keep certain items that I always take with me to WDW in a suitcase - all of the time!
It won't be long now and you will be in the middle of the magic!

If I lived any closer I just may have cleaned your 2 hutches as well! I have gotten mine done and it sparkles. Also cleaned out some cupboards and now a certain junk drawer isn't so junky. Running out of things to do! Yikes.
2 weeks to go and need to go over the hoard to see if I am missing anything.....
