| Disneyland Paris help My partner and I will be making our first trip to Disneyland Paris in June. We'll be there just two days, alas; staying at the Hotel Cheyenne. We have been to WDW many times, and know Disneyland (the original!) inside and out (literally--he's a cast member there). We are looking for any tips, hints, etc that you can give. Thanks! |

| Re: Disneyland Paris help Robert Firstly let me say "Welcome to the PP boards" Having been to WDW and Paris I can tell you that you must accept DL Paris for what it is and NOT to compare it to WDW. Firstly it's much smaller, then remember that you're in the middle of Europe and the attitude of many people is not as open or friendly as in the U.S. Also much of the way that things are organised in WDW is not how they do things in Paris i.e character interaction and smoking in the parks. Having said all that it does have a "feel" that is particular to Disney it's just different. Personally I don't think that we'll be going to DL Paris again for a very long time. Having had a not so good experience last year.I'd rather spend the money and time going to WDW even though we're near enough to go to DL Paris for a daytrip on the Eurostar train. However I'm sure that there will be several of my fellow countrymen who will disagree and say it's fantastic. Whatever anyone says I hope that you and your partner have a fabulous trip. |

| Re: Disneyland Paris help Hi and welcome to the boards! We've been to Disneyland Paris a couple of times and found the original park to be very similar to WDW - and probably Disneyland... I'll be able to make a judgment on that in May! I have to agree with a lot of what Isabel said, but we did enjoy our trip there. The main highlights - and unique attractions - we found were: Lights, Moteurs, Action stunt show Animagique Cinemagique Sleeping Beauty Castle - and the dragon in the dungeon as well as the displays upstairs Pinocchio's Fantastic Journey - although I seem to recall it's all in French and I can't recall if there's something similar in Disneyland? Ones worth seeing that are different to certainly WDW are: Phantom Manor (Haunted Mansion) Pirates of the Caribbean Be aware that quite a few things are in French, although some have English headphones or English subtitles. Most Cast Members do speak English, although some of them don't speak it that well. I'd recommend getting A Brit's Guide to Disneyland Paris by Simon Veness. OK, so it's aimed at the British market and the sections about getting there won't be that much help, but it's got some very useful information about the parks in it. | Re: Disneyland Paris help Ive never been, but just watched travel channel special and it looks great. The Indian Jones rollercoaster looks like a lot of fun and their version of Space Mountain. But Im sure you'll have a great time, of course you will always have Paris. |
