Are you talking about after the race? I'm thinking after because I don't recall that they have those alphabet tents up before the race..... If they do, before works great!
After the race could work too. I should be able to make it to the T tent after the race, sure!! I'm hoping for a PR in the Relay, so hopefully I'll be done with 13 miles around 2:30 to 2:40. That should give me enough time to head back to POP, shower and re-fuel a bit, and then head back to the finish line to meet my running partner for photos! I'll head over to the T tent as well. I'm assuming you're not going for a PR on this race as you're doing the Goofy? Just to finish is the goal?!! With that in mind, I'm assuming you should be at the T tent around 12:30 ish, give or take?
There are usually lots of groups meeting up before the race. I had two meetups in January, one for Tour Guide Mike, and the other for the WDW Radio Running Team. I am still considering the Race Retreat, probably for the marathon and not for the half, but I will still check in to the family reunion tents before the race.
My Goofy goal is just to finish, for sure; however it had better be a marathon PR, since we took the entire 7 hours to finish last time! I'm hoping to break 6 hours, which would hopefully find me at the finish line by noonish, hopefully no later than 12:30. We have lunch ressies at Le Cellier at 2:30. I'd had them for 4:30, but decided I'd rather pay the lunch prices since we're staying at Shades of Green and won't have the DDP.

Summer 2013 pre-trip report here: So many celebrations!
Can't wait to get one of these!
This has been a bad week for me also....not enough time running and when I do....not a good one. I am hoping and planning next week is better!! This race is closing in fast. I am doing the Jingle Bell 5k on Sat morning but just walking it with a friend. It is her first race ever and I am not about to run off and leave her behind. Happy training guys!!
Six weeks ago I was put back in a boot for what was supposed to be 2 weeks. Then it was four. Well, today I am ready to throw that boot out a window! I have an MRI tonight and I will find out next week sometime what the next step will be.
If that next step involves being in a boot I am seriously going to scream!

Ah, so sorry to hear it. Hope you get good news tonight!

I'm right there with you on the screaming! Good luck with the MRI. Let us know how you make out.
I am desperately holding on to the possibility that I will still be running in January...
OK ladies-the MRI needs must stop-a THOUSAND pixies coming your way so you guys can get yourselves back to 100%. How frustrating for you! Good luck!
I've talked to more people about the bad running or just plain bad week they had this past week. I still have to get that 7miles in as I pushed it off until tomorrow now. The Santa 5k yesterday was incredibly fun...1200 Santas running through town. The uphills weren't that bad, it was a long straightaway that was slightly up hill that got me, right in the middle. Just when I was starting to really dislike, we turned and the rest was flat or downhill! Spent a lot of time holding up my Santa pants or trying to fix the black waist belt, which eventually snapped but so didn't many others as they were strewn everywhere! Had to get a pin off my bib so I could pin the coat shut, all while running. But talk about festive and so many with good cheer. Lots of grins from ear to ear. I kept thinking-this must be what Disney is like
Yes, that is what Disney races are like! That's the FUN factor that keeps everyone returning for more craziness!

Managed 28 minutes today. Two more of those and then 30 minutes next week. Never would have believed, not only that I could do it, but that I would actually enjoy it...aliens have taken over my body!

Isn't it a great feeling? I have not had the best week, I have had this lurking bug that saps my energy super fast so I haven't done much as I'm afraid to overdo it. But I love the way I'm feeling and dall my pants are loose so I will definitely keep at it!
Kindly asking for pixies. Bought some new running shoes today. Hip is a mess, but I am pretty much insane, and I am not ready to let go of my dream to do this marathon! The weather outside is frightful and my treadmill is old and broken (will not incline), but I'm going to RUN! Yes, I know I am nuts. I have no idea how far or for how long, but I am determined to do something. What the heck... if the leg is going to hurt, I am going to stop being depressed about it! I am either going to get past the pain/numbness/weakness, or make it so bad that I end up unable to walk at all!
Ooooh, sounds scary. Promise to stop if it hurts too much. Good luck!

2 miles, just under 30 minutes. Ran a about 25 of the 30! The new shoes are GREAT! My hip/leg hurts no more and no less than it has been. Going to keep moving it back up!! Looking to Ralking (run/walking) with an emphasis on the walking the 1/2 marathon! Not going to quit just yet!!!! Worst case scenario is I won't be able to do it, but I'm just not ready to give up the ghost!

For you!! I hope your leg gets better quickly! My back is twinging this morning....think I have been running too much and not enough walking. Got to do an 11 mile training run this weekend....think I will walk more of it than I have been. I am like you....trying to stay injury free 'til this 1/2 marathon.
Juli, lots of coming your way for health and well being! (I refuse to use the "i" word!)
I went for a deep tissue/ myofacial release massage today. Going to go for an outdoor run by our HS. Short loop is 1.6 miles. Hopefully will be able to go around 2x, but I'm not going to push it. If I cant run twice, I'll run one and walk one. Too dark to run the streets here now (they are dangerous enough in daylight!)
Oh, and if anyone in the Central Massachusetts area is in need of a massage therapist, please feel free to PM me for her info! This was the first time I have been to this girl and she is a miracle worker! Going again next week as there are still a lot of issues to keep working out. Though I do feel like a bit of a masochist for telling her to keep working even though it hurt like hades!
