Just be aware that sometimes our trips have that background music from National Lampoon's Vacation movies attached to them... |

| Re: The \"I Survived the Seventh Grade\" Trip - Pre-Trip Report Claudine, as a college teacher-to-be I helped out in a 5th grade class last week and I'm not sure I could ever teach middle school! I give you a lot of credit! See you at the Illuminations meet!! -Kristen |

| Re: The \"I Survived the Seventh Grade\" Trip - Pre-Trip Report The itinerary…or lack thereof I like to plan, but I give myself permission to change things around spontaneously if I want. Does that make sense? I didn’t really pay attention to Extra Magic Hours or anything else too closely. If we get there, we get there. It’s a lot easier to be relaxed and let things flow. After all, if you can’t do that on vacation, when can you do it? 29th- We arrive in the late afternoon, so it will be a quick change and off to dinner followed by watching Wishes either from ‘Ohana or if the rugrats can’t sit still that long, from the beach. Either way will be fine because we’ll be back in our favorite place! 30th- Sea World Day. This will be the first visit for the boys. We are excited to see Shamu and Clyde and Seamore once again. I love the sea lion show! 31st- We’re planning on starting at the MK and who knows from there. DS5 has a date with BTMRR. The other day we went down a huge dip in the road and he put his arms up in the air and said he was practicing for BTMRR! How cute, **sigh** I’ve trained him well! We usually head back in the afternoon for a swim and a rest before heading back out in the evening. We’re keeping our options open for the Grab a Buddy Ride Meet at MGM. If the boys seem rested and feel good we’ll head over. But if they are cranky and tired, we’ll sit it out. Keeping my fingers crossed! 1st- Epcot all day for us today. Can’t wait to meet all our fellow Passporters at the Illuminations meet! Look for us wearing Passporter colors! 2nd- Animal Kingdom pretty much all day. I want to catch the parade here as we missed it last time. We’ve got to rectify that! Not to mention, we hear the Yeti calling us! 3rd- Another MK day and probably more BTMRR! Tonight is reserved for a full viewing of Spectro Magic. I love this parade. For me, the lights signify I’m in my happy place. There’s nothing I’m looking forward to more (other than the food) than watching Spectro with my boys. DS5 thought Tinkerbell was waving at him from one of the floats. And although he denies it now, I know he loves her! Another lost boy! 4th- No park day. We’ll be in DD all day exploring. We really didn’t get a look at this place last year. We hit Planet Hollywood for dinner and took a quick walk around. This time we’ll explore, take pictures, eat, and take a splash in the fountain. We just want to enjoy being together. 5th- MGM day. We want to catch another parade we missed last year-Stars and Cars. I’m looking forward to riding Rockin’ Roller Coaster again with DS8. His face was priceless! 6th- Typhoon Lagoon for most of the day. I didn’t really do many slides here last year because DS5 was a bit frightened by the larger rides. He and I were content to scream when the wave pool started up with the big “Whoosh” that it does when a wave is coming. We enjoyed ice cream and holding hands. I loved that he would say “Hold me Mama so the wave can’t get me!” Good to know I can still be Super Mom once in a while! 7th- DH will start the day at the Richard Petty driving experience. How fitting for someone who presses the pedal to the metal most days. The afternoon is probably going to be in Epcot eating around the WS. 8th- No Park Day. We’ll stay at OKW and enjoy the pool, take pictures, lounge around our room, and relax with a capital R. Later in the day, we’ll explore Beach Club and eat dinner there. 9th- Back to AK to specifically do Rifiki’s Planet Watch. We really didn’t get to see this much before we had to leave. Everyone has allergies so we’re packing inhalers etc. with us! Wish us luck! 10th-This is our play it by ear day. This day is reserved for whatever we want it to be! Followed up by the Cali Grill for dinner! I know I told you in my earlier post, but I’m so excited, I just can’t wait! 11th- Another water park day. Probably TL as we really enjoy it there. I’m planning on getting a birthday cake for Colin at the Boardwalk bakery to celebrate his pretend birthday. Chocolate with chocolate frosting. (Much to his brother's chagrin who prefers his beloved vanilla) 12th- Another non park day to do whatever we choose. Gosh, I love vacations! 13th- We head to NY to visit the Grandmas. There’ll be lots of cheek pulling and hugs to go around as the Grannies haven’t seen our boys since last year at this time. Looking forward to “real pizza”, Greek food, and a cocktail on my mom’s deck. There’s no place like home… Okay guys, that wraps it up. I’ll be scarce on these boards as school winds down. My next report will be the whole kit and caboodle of dining reports, photos, and fun. For those Passporters whom I’m meeting, I’m so excited to meet you in person! You are all such lovely people. Up Next: The report continues... I'll be back around toward the end of June! |
