| Eighteen Again! - Final thoughts added 7/24 COMPLETE!! Eighteen Again: Erica’s Graduation Celebration May 25 – 31, 2006 First, a little back story. My mother and I took Erica and her sister, Brooke, on their first Disney trip when Erica was 5 years old and Brooke was 2. (I'm currently at work, or I would post a picture from that trip. I will try to remember to scan one and add it to the report later.) Anyway, she loved it instantly and we have been back with the girls many times since. Though both my nieces are Disney fans, Erica is a much bigger Disney nut than Brooke (Erica's like my mini me ). Whenever we are at Disney, Erica talks about what job she'd like to have when she goes into the College Program (currently it's a TOT bellhop, but she's also expressed interest in playing the tuba in Spectromagic, being a Haunted Mansion CM, and being a costumed character). So when it came time to decide on a graduation present for her, I felt a Disney trip would be the ideal gift. Of course, the fact that I get to go again had no bearing on it whatsoever! This is a trip in two parts. The first half of the trip is Erica’s Graduation Celebration. We (me, my DM and DF) are flying down to Tampa for the ceremony and her party. We will also visit Busch Gardens Tampa, and Erica is dying to go lose her money at the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino in Tampa now that she is old enough. The second half of the trip is going to be one big Disney sleepover for just Erica and me. Now that she’s headed to college in the fall, she’s going to have to grow up and start paying her own way for trips to see the Mouse (and there will be fewer of them). I will still spoil her, just not as much (but she doesn’t need to know that ). So this trip is one last hurrah for her – she calls the shots and I’ll indulge her as much as possible! We plan to do a lot of shopping, a lot of watching shows and parades, a lot of pigging out, and a lot of giggling! I am really looking forward to the trip, and judging from what seems like my hourly calls from Erica, so is she! Here are the details The Tampa trip: Cast: Me, DM, DF, DN Erica, DN Brooke, DB Eric, DSIL Jackie Resort: Embassy Suites Busch Gardens Plans: Graduation, Busch Gardens Tampa, Graduation Party, and anything else we can squeeze in The WDW trip: Cast: Me and Erica Resort: Yacht Club Plans: Our plans are in pencil for the most part, but we do have some definite things on the list. We will be going to the Passporter ice cream meet on 5/28, we have ADRs for ‘Ohana and the Cape May Café, and we will definitely be hitting Beaches and Cream! We may even try to make a dent in the kitchen sink! We also want to spend some time at Stormalong Bay, and we hope to make at least one trip to Pleasure Island. So I’ve already printed out my boarding pass and packed my suitcase. Now I’m just playing the waiting game ![]() Up Next: The Fun Begins ![]() Last edited by PrincessSharon; 11-13-2007 at 01:12 PM. Reason: fix images |
