\"Uncover your ears\" mini trip-report....added Grab A Ride Buddy Meet update...... <font color="blue"> Well, there was a theme to this trip and it was this: Troian covering her ears due to all the noise. Okay, let's open up with a few of the highlights. Sunday, May 28th - Amy's Surprise for me - lunch at the Brown Derby You could have knocked me over I was SO surprised - she definitely had me with the "having to use the bathroom" spoof. We both had Cobb salads, yummy rolls, and a even yummier Chef. Monday, May 29th - Pleasure Island For some reason, Amy didn't touch on this in her TR. We met Robin at PI about 10:30 pm and headed for the Adventurer's Club first. What a show!! How funny!! And how embarassing for the gentleman that the performer picked on. Then we headed over to the Comedy Warehouse. It was an awesome show!!!!!! I just wish that DH Nate could have seen it, but it was VERY nice to have a break from the kids. Tuesday, May 30th - Ohana's, Great Movie Ride PP Meet, & Beaches & Cream We all had breakfast at Ohana's; the character interaction got better, the food was so-so, eh, enough said. The Great Movie Ride PP Meet was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Kudos to Tenya for a fabulous idea!!! We ended up with my four, Tenya, Carly and DH Joe, Tina and Jalen, Sharon and Erica, Robin and Sandy - I think that's it - didn't we have 13?? Anyway, after waiting (I have NEVER seen that line like that), we boarded our tram only to have the ride NOT work. It was pretty funny because apparently only our two rows seemed aware there was a problem. Our tour guide even pointed out that our two rows knew something was wrong. It was fun anyways. Wednesday, May 31st - PP Girls Afternoon Tea This was one of the activities that I had been MOST excited about and it did NOT disappoint!! The tea was delicious, the food was scrumptious, and the company was fantastic!! I had a GREAT time at tea and would gladly do it again and again!!!! Thursday, June 1st - Crystal Palace I made this ADR for Crystal Palace when I made my original ADR's back in November. It went wonderfully!!!!! We were one of the first families in, the kids were able to get their food quickly, great character interaction. And to top it ALL off, Troian did NOT hide under the table like last year!!! Friday, June 2nd - Star Wars Weekends This was our first day at SWW - Benji and I went earlier than Nate and Troian and that worked out really well. Had a great time!!! We saw the parade for the first time. Saturday, June 3rd - Star Wars Weekends Once again, Benji and I left earlier than Nate and Troi for SWW - had a good time - got Luke and Leia's autographs and took pictures. We changed locations for viewing the parade, so I was able to video it and then we followed it to the Star Tours stage, but we lost Nate and Troi in that adventure. Sunday, June 4th - Star Wars Weekends This was the BEST day for SWW!!! We were able to get fastpasses for the kids to get Captain Typho's autograph. We made it into the Stars of the Saga show. We once again saw the parade and then followed it straight to the Star Tours stage where I got some great Star Wars pictures. Monday, June 5th - Exploring We explored several resorts - All-Star Movies, Animal Kingdom, POFQ, and some others I think. Benji and I spend more time at DtD - this was our 2nd or 3rd visit. Tuesday, June 6th - Le Cellier This was a delicious meal, unfortunately Troian started to get a little antsy so Nate and her left while Benji and I finished up. Wednesday, June 7th - Liberty Tree Tavern Liberty Tree Tavern is now my NEW FAVORITE place for lunch. It was PERFECT!!! The kids ate well, we ate well, we even split a dessert. Relaxing and once again the first seating really helped with the kids. Thursday, June 8th - 10th Wedding Anniversary - Chef Mickey's This was one of the WORST days there!!! At least that's how it started!! We drove to the Contemporary and got the RUDEST guard who told me that we had NO reservation for Chef Mickey's. That had me running for the restaurant - they showed us as having an ADR, but we ended up waiting over 45 minutes for our table and then just after Nate had left with Troian - they paged us - luckily he realized that his phone was ringing and came back. Our waitress really saved the day - character interaction was brief at best - we won't be doing this one again any time soon. All in all - an exhausting trip. Here's the link to my photobucket account - I've only added a few so far. 2006 Pictures

Re: \"Uncover your ears\" mini trip-report............... Sounds like a great trip. The tea at GF sounds and looks wonderful! Enjoyed seeing all the pictures. Sorry for the trouble at Chef Mickey's. We had a great experience there last week on Logan's birthday after a not so great one in the past there. Guess it is just hit or miss sometimes. So glad I got to meet you and your family at Illuminations even if it was briefly!

Re: \"Uncover your ears\" mini trip-report............... Great mini report, Jana! We had so much fun at the Great Movie Ride. I think it will be something we all remember for a long time. We'll have to make tea our thing if we're ever there together again. Sorry we missed the Illuminations meet, we were all exhausted. Pics were great! tenya

Re: \"Uncover your ears\" mini trip-report............... <font color="blue"> Okay, so we finally arrived home mid-afternoon yesterday, unpacked the van and suitcases, washed clothes, went and bought groceries, and crashed into bed. I just looked at what I originally posted (on the trip home), and realized that I left out the Grab A Ride Buddy Meet!! We met up on Wednesday, May 31st at MGM's pm EMH. It was my four, Amy and her mom, and WDWJAMBA (Claudine), her DH WeatherTed (Ted) and their two boys - Colin and Ethan. I can't speak for anyone else, but my family had an AWESOME time!!! Claudine is such a sweetheart, Ted's a REALLY nice guy (but he needs to post more ), and their boys are great!! Benji certainly loved seeing and interacting with some other kids while we were down there; in fact, he's still talking about Colin and Ethan today (almost two weeks later). Anyway, we rode Rock n Roller Coaster, Star Tours, and the Great Movie Ride. Claudine was smart enough to remember her camera (I had left mine at the hotel ). Anyway, I just needed to mention this Meet, because I had accidentally left it out and it was a GREAT way to spend the EMH. Thanks everyone!!!
