| Re: Birthday, F&G Festival and Passporters!!! May 28 to June 3 DAY ONE Monday, Memorial Day, May 29, Day Two: Part 5 The Horse, the Cow and the Scotsman I smiled when I passed thought the gates of WDW. You do not realize how much you miss Disney until you see those gates for the first time. I quickly found a parking space right in front of Planet Hollywood. As I walked down to the Marketplace my cell phone rang. It was my friend Ken. Ken loves Walt Disney World as much as I do. I found a bench and we chatted for a bit. He was going to try to make it down there that week but never did. He still owes me dinner . I found lots of cool stuff at World of Disney. Since I was kind of tight on time I just made two purchases. I bought a coffee creamer and sugar bowl. The creamer had the image of “Clarabelle Cow” and the sugar bowel had an image of “Horace the Horse” on it. I was so excited they are two of my favorite Disney characters and you hardly ever see them on products! I later found out that Disney started trying Clarabelle and Horace as walk around characters at MK! but I didn’t see them when I was at WDW! Amy called me to let me know she and Jana were on their way to Pleasure Island. We met at the gift store in front of Planet Hollywood. After I ditched my purchases in my SUV we made our way to Adventurer’s Club. We had a few laughs watching Samatha Sterling do her cabaret act. I enjoy it when she goes to the back of the room and picks on people at the bar. I did not take any photos. After the show we decided to head over to Comedy Warehouse. I have never been to CM before so I was excited. They did several skits but my favorite was a game where they picked several suggestions from audience members of things to sing about. There was a group from Scotland in the front that suggested “Ode To Haggis” The outfit the guy came out with was dead on! Here it is: ![]() One of the other skits was a talk show (with a beauty queen, the Gordon’s Fisherman and a girl from Netherlands) If I remember correctly most of the questions that were asked were regarding nuts (??). Trust me they had fun with this one! ![]() ![]() After Comedy Warehouse we decided to call it a night. I drove Jana and Amy back to Pop and made my way back up Osceola Parkway to my sister’s condo. It was about 2:00 when I finally got to sleep. |

| Re: Birthday, F&G Festival and Passporters!!! May 28 to June 3 DAY ONE Tuesday, May 30, Day Three: Part 1 A Late Start…but FINALLY The Epcot Flower and Garden Festival!! Even though I had gotten in so late the night before I could not sleep in. I was up at around 7:00. I was sitting downstairs ready to got by 8:00. Sandy had a few phone calls to make so we didn’t leave until just after 8:30. We drove over to Orange Blossom Trail (or OBT to the locals) to pick up a patio table for the pool in Sandy’ condo complex. When she told me she need up picking up a table & unbrella I thought, “Okay a quick stop.” …NO…it was anything but quick. We waited there for almost 45 minutes! I tried not to sit there tapping my feet but I wanted to get to Disney! FINALLY they were ready with the table and umbrella and it was loaded in to the SUV. Okay, we are done, right? NOOOOO…Sandy wanted to drive all the way back to her condo complex and drop off the table/umbrella. Whatever! We dropped the purchases off and we were finally on our way! It was just after 11 when we arrived at Epcot. I got some photos of the “Tunnel of Love” topiary in the front. Sandy wanted to ride Soarin’ but I really wanted to do Test Track first. We got in the single rider line for Test Track and were in a car within a half hour. After Test Track we wondered back over to Soarin’. The FPs were reading 4:00 to 4:30! and the standby line was 70 minutes! We were meeting Passports at MGM that afternoon at 4:30 so there was no way we could have made the FP time so we skipped Soarin’ ![]() ![]() As we wondered through Future World I snapped photos of the topiaries. We found the F&G Festival Gift shop and the Character Connection meet and greet. The lines were really short so I decided to wait. I didn’t have my super cool autograph book that Sarah made for me that day. I got a kiss from Minnie and a lick from Pluto! ![]() The flower murals of the Disney love stamps were in the festival center. I wish I had been there for the stamp intro. They had the real dog that looked like Lady & Tramp at Epcot that day! Very cool! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() NEXT: The Big Question: Where Does Sandy Want to Eat? |
