Re: Birthday, F&G Festival and Passporters!!! May 28 to June 3 DAY ONE The Big Question: Where Does Sandy Want to Eat? Sandy said she was getting hungry so we tried to figure out what would be good for lunch. I really wanted to go to the Tangierine Café but we had just missed the boat to Morocco so we opted to walk to something closer. When we got to Mexico Sandy suggested Cantina de San Angel. It was pretty hot and I didn’t really want to eat outside. I suggested we go inside and check out the menu at San Angel Inn (should be similar, yet better, right?). Sandy didn’t even look at the menu, she wasn’t interested. Whatever. NEXT. We got to China and she suggested the Nine Dragons. I agreed and we walked into an almost empty restaurant. We were seated right away. Sandy had a diet Coke and I ordered a iced tea. The waitress suggested I try the raspberry iced tea so I took her suggested and ordered raspberry iced tea. For lunch we ordered General Tso’s Chicken to spilt. When the order came the waitress was nice enough to bring use two bowls of rice and two plates. The meal was okay. Honestly I think the Chinese restaurant near work serves better Chinese food (and it is a heck of a lot cheaper). Sandy didn’t like it, she said it was too sweet. With full bellies we headed West through World Showcase. Along the way I spotted Snow White. The line was not that long so I waited in it. Sandy said she would meet me in the United States Pavilion so we could watch Voices of Liberty. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The line went quickly and I was done in no time. Sandy found us great seats for the VoL show. The show started about 5 minutes after I walked in. If you have never heard this group perform you should. Their voices are unbelievable. After the show I asked one of the performers if she would mind if we got a photo with me. She was very happy to pose. When we exited the Fife and Drum Core was starting their performance. I love how these guys stay in character…no smiles, they are serious military men! ![]() ![]() By the time we got to the International Gateway it was almost 3:00. We decided instead of going to the car we would take the boat to MGM do a couple rides then join the Passporter Great Movie Ride Meet. After the meet we would take the boat to Beaches & Cream for the Eat A Kitchen Sink Passporter meet then take a bus to MK for Wishes and Spectro, then take the Monorail back to Epcot to get the car. That was the plan…will it work??? NEXT: Please No Photos of the Evidence!

Re: Birthday, F&G Festival and Passporters!!! May 28 to June 3 DAY ONE I LOVED VOL singers. They were SOOOOOOO great. They moved us up to the top floor to watch them due to me being in a cart (we were also watching the show for Sam's first time). I saw a man sitting on the floor below just cry the whole performance. It was so touching and they have the best voices EVER.

Re: Birthday, F&G Festival and Passporters!!! May 28 to June 3 DAY ONE Sorry about the lunch at Nine Dragons. It's a beautiful setting and it's sad how the food just never seems to live up to expectations.

Re: Birthday, F&G Festival and Passporters!!! May 28 to June 3 DAY ONE Great pictures of the Flower festival! I didn't even realize that the "stamp" pictures were in the shop! I haven't eaten in Nine Dragons in years and years, but dont' remember it being anything special either. Too bad. And I really need to take the time and enjoy the singers in America! I've heard too many good things about this on this board! Great update! Whew! Sounds like a lot of plans coming up! Jill
