| Re: Birthday, F&G Festival and Passporters!!! May 28 to June 3 DAY ONE Wednesday, May 31, Day Four: Part 1 Ohana Means Dancing? The night before Sandy decided not to join me at WDW that day. I know I am an awful sister but I was kind of happy about doing the day solo. I had ADR at 'Ohana for 9:10 so I left Sandy’s at about 7:30 to ensure I was there on time (maybe alittle early). I passed through the gates of MK at 8:30 and made my way to the Poly. I decided not to valet park the car so I self parked. I looked around and didn’t see Tina so I made myself comfortable in the lobby of Ohana’. After a few minutes I checked in. Tina arrived at about 9:15 in within no time our coaster was going off and we were escorted into the restaurant but the table she took us to was occupied. We were taken to the front of the restaurant again. Our host smiled and handed us shakers and let us know the parade was about to start and we were going to join the conga line to get to our table. I forgot to mention the host gave me a lay to wear because I was celebrating my birthday at 'Ohana. I knew Jalen really wanted one too so I made sure he and Tina both got a lay. Our table was right on the aisle in the back of the restaurant. This was my first visit to 'Ohana so I was excited. Our waitress was very sweet. She explained how the meal worked and said the characters would be around soon. First to come by was Stitch. He literly stood for one photograph with Jalen then left…that was it. Pluto then came. He is my favorite so I had him sign my autograph book (the one that Sarah dopeygirl made for me! Sarah!) Mickey then came by the Lilo. Stitch eventually made it back and signed my book for me. I thought the meal was excellent. We got a selection of breakfast pastries (sticky buns, Danish, cinnamon rolls) and a skillet of hot breakfast items (eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, Mickey waffles). They also served orange juice and coffee. The antics these characters do are hilarious. Lilo was rearranging the dishes on a table and unfolding the napkins so the CM had to redo them. They picked on this one very tall waiter who was obviously playing along. It was a hoot! The waitress gave me a birthday card signed by all the characters at 'Ohana. I can’t find it at the moment but I thought it was funny that the card actually read “Ohana’s” not “'Ohana’” At the end of the meal the waitress brought me a cupcake with a candle on it. Stitch was nice enough to blow the candle out for me I cut the cupcake in half and gave the other half to Jalen. It was a very good cupcake. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After breakfast we said goodbye and promised to meet up again before the week was through. I found my car and tried to figure out where I was going to go. Since Sandy was not with me I would have to pay for parking. I decided to go to MK for the morning. I made my way out of Poly and thought, “I am already in MK I bet I can just make my way to MK from here without going through the gate.” That is exactly what I did. I followed the signs to MK and was in the parking lot without having to pay. How did I do that? I wasn’t complaining. It saved me $9! Don’t tell anyone okay? I parked and made my way to the tram. Then the big decision came, Boat or Monorail? Since I had not been on the boat that trip I opted for the boat. The ferry is so relaxing and before I knew it was was docking at MK. I didn’t really have a plan of attack but I knew I wanted to go on Splash and BTMR…those were a must. NEXT: CLIP CLOP The Best Ride at Walt Disney World! |

| Re: Birthday, F&G Festival and Passporters!!! May 28 to June 3 DAY ONE [b]Wednesday, May 31, Day Four: Part 2 CLIP CLOP The Best Ride at Walt Disney World When I walked on to Main Street USA I noticed that the horse trolley’s were still in operation. For those who don’t know me well, I LOVE the horse trolley. It is my favorite ride at WDW. I could ride it all day long if they would let me. My dream job is to be a horse trolley driver at MK. Anyway…I had to ride the horse Trolley. I jumped on the trolley and chattered on and on with the driver about how much I loved riding the trolley and how it was my favorite ride…etc. He didn’t seem interested in fact he was alittle grumpy. Finally it was time to hear the clip clop up Main Street USA. To me this is what Walt Disney World is…clatting up Main Street USA on a horse drawn trolley with the castle in view watching the people smile and wave. :sigh: AAAhhhh heaven! I don’t remember the Clydesdale’s name but I think he was the same horse they used to pull Belle’s Carriage in the Christmas Parade. Here are a couple of photos. To you they are of a horse’s butt to me…they are a wonderful memory of Main Street USA…enjoy: ![]() Once we got to the castle hub I got out and took some more photos. I found my favorite trolley driver who was driving a beautiful Percheron draft horse. I have to get her name! I gave her the same spiel I gave the previous trolley driver and she was VERY interested and told me how she loves her job and how I should apply at Disney because I am just the kind of person they want working there…etc. etc. etc. She offered to give me a ride back up to Main Street Square! I jumped in her trolley and again…clip clop clip clop we went back down Main Street. After I got dropped off a second time I followed the trolley found a Photopass photographer to take my photo as the trolley went by. They tried to get one in December but the photographer cut off the horses head. The PP photographer did get a nice photo although it was a bit dark…I purchased it anyway. ![]() ![]() Okay I will stop talking about the horse trolley now…on to the rides everyone else enjoys. I took the train to Frontierland and got a FP for Splash. While I was waiting for the FP time I walked over to Adventureland to see what the wait was for Jungle Cruise. The wait was a bit too long. I went back to Frontierland and caught the train to Toontown. I still had not found Belle yet. NEXT: You have a photo of WHO on your wall?! |
