| Another Scott Family Adventure in the making.....Pre-Trip Report - Part 1 8/23/2006 <font color="purple"> [b]Okay I still have about 30 days left and I just can't wait any longer to get this trip report started!!!! Another Scott Family Adventure in the making.....Pre-Trip Report - Part 1 Travelers: Me (Melissa) 27, 3 trips to Disney Thadd (DH) 28, 3 Trips to Disney My parents, sister and her boyfriend will also be joining us for part of this trip. Dates: September 26-October 1 Resort: Port Orleans French Quarter - First Time!!!!! Every vacation my husband and I (the Scotts) have been on has been less vacation and more adventure. I’m pretty confident I could write a block buster comedy based on the trips we have taken together...I could tell you some stories. Because of this we don’t call it going on vacation, we call it our annual adventure. Now that I gave you some background on my trip report title, let me give you some more background..... In June 2006 Thadd and I were on our first Disney trip together. Thadd didn’t want to take this trip because he’s previous two trips as a child were bad, however I told him he just wasn’t with the right person [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]. We weren’t even half way through our first day before he declared he loved it at WDW and we were definitely coming back [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/woot.gif[/img].....told him he was with the wrong person all those other time [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]! So before we finished our trip in June we had already picked the date for our next trip. We decided the best trip would be in September 2006, it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate our 5th anniversary. Now this is were my parents and sister come in. When we returned home my mom started talking about going a family vacation in 2006 and I told her we were already planned to go back to Disney and only had money for one trip this year, and while I love my family, I would rather be at Disney then on the beach (but I do like the beach). So everyone decided to go to Disney with us....fine with me, let’s start planning. Now as a note my parents are not planners, they don’t research [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img], they don’t make ADRs [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img], they don’t have a PP [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]......they just fly by the seat of their pants [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]!!!! That makes it a little hard for me because I have been known to plan things to the nanosecond, I’m what you might call.....anal. However I have taken it in stride and planned around them. As a side note, my parents are staying at the Contemporary (this is like their 5th stay there) and my sister and her boyfriend are staying at All-Star Music (a first for them). It should make for some interesting resort hopping. I just keep telling myself to breath, just breath....keep breathing.... The convenience to Downtown Disney can't be beat! We too will be going next month! Can't wait! BTW, where abouts in Ohio are you from? We live just south of Sandusky, about 25 minutes from Cedar Point. |

| Re: Another Scott Family Adventure in the making.....Pre-Trip Report - Part 1 8/23/2006 My favorite "adventure" story is when Melissa and I were dating, we went with my family to Daytona Beach, and for some reason instead of taking Interstate 75 my family went through the Carolinas. We were taking two cars, and while driving through downtown Huntington, WV my grandfather who is driving the car ahead of us, makes a mammoth U-Turn right in the middle of downtown, forcing me to do the same. Its a wonder were didnt cause an accident. It took us 26 hours to make it to Daytona from Cincinnati, at least 10 hours longer than it should have. |
