Daileys do Disney pre-trip--Updated 9/7 with ADRs and plans

Who-
Me-Mom-Jamie(jammers)- 39 totally in love with Disney, I tell people , "If I could choose only 1 place to vacation for the rest of my life it would be WDW."

Dad- Matt- 40 also a huge Disney fan(how did I get so lucky?)

ds- Mattie 16 He is his parent's son, unlike his two crazy brothers(won't even call them goofy)can't wait to ditch school for a few days to visit the Mouse

dd- Serenity 3- What can I say she is a Princess in training.

What-
How could we pass up an offer like free dining? Last year we had APs and bought the dining card to get
20% off. We thought that was great, make it free and we feel like hooting out loud! Then as I am planning meals and such I see that MNSSHP starts the Friday night we are there. We went 2 years ago and LOVED it. My only regret was I missed the Headless Horseman. So this year I am on a mission!

When- Sept 13-18 We fly out at 7:30 pm Wed night from Pgh on SWA. We will use DME for the first time. I at first thought we would try to go carry on only since we will be arriving around 10pm, and I don't exactly love the idea of waiting up for our luggage once we get there. But since they have instituted all the restrictions(and who can blame them) I have decided to just ~~go with the flow~~ and check luggage(and probably pack more)

Where- Well, we started out at POP. That is our favorite place to stay as a family. Since we have 4 kiddos we need 2 rooms so we stick to the value resorts. POP wins hands down as a favorite(and believe it or not we have stayed at ALL the values) But once the twins declined the trip, and factor in the free dining, I exercised my rights as Official Trip Planner for the Dailey Family and bumped us up to a moderate. I chose Carribean Beach Resort. I also sprang for the preferred room. The power of the Planner

Why--
Come on you have all heard it, "Why Disney AGAIN?!?!" Well first of all , because we can. But also because the time we have with our kids is so precious and so short. Mattie is a high school junior and soon he will be in college and then off starting his life independant of us. The time we have with them is so important and why not spend some of it in a place as magical as WDW.

Ok so we have our ADRs planned, room booked, some plans made and some left to chance. For 3 weeks Serenity has been telling me she is going to hug Mickey, "I hug Mickey Mouse , Mom." and she will eat dinner with Prince Charming, "I eat with Charming, ok Mom?" and go to the Halloween party, "I get candy at Mickey Mouse, Mom." So she has her plans ready too. As a matter of fact she has been relentless to the point that Dad is looking forward to the trip for a whole new reason. "You hug Cinderella, ok Dad? Mattie 'fraid to." As big brother .

Re: Daileys do Disney pre-trip

These are our daily plans thus far.

Sept 13-- We changed our flight down so we get into Orlando at 3:10. The plan for that day is to get to the hotel and check in. We will have our swimsuits in our carry on so we can visit the pool. Hubby and Mattie are interested in seeing what the slide is like. Then we plan to have dinner at Shutters.

Sept 14- EPCOT day Matt and Mattie are doing the Segway tour at 9:30. I figure Serenity and I will over to Living Seas and wonder around until World Showcase opens. It will be a Counter service lunch and then 7:30 dinner at Rose and Crown. This is Mattie's favorite restaurant in the world. Not just Disney world but the globe world.

Sept 15-I think this will be Animal Kingdom day. We all want to try Expedition Everest and there are a few more favorites to do but depending on the crowds we can have this park pretty much done by 2 or 3:00 Which leaves us plenty of time to go back to the room(maybe take a rest) shower and get ready for the evening. A 4:30 dinner at 1900 Park Fare(Remember "I eat with Charming, Mom." and "Dad hug Cinderella, Mattie'fraid to"). Serenity will wear her Cinderella dress to dinner and then after dinner a quick change for her into................Her costume for MNSSHP. The rest of us will wear our costumes. Our family will be the Incredibles. We all have Incredibles t-shirts bought on sale at the Disney store and we will wear black shorts and cheap masks with them. After her change we will hop the monorail for the MK.

Sept 16-Magic Kingdom day. I know, I know MK on a Saturday-not the best idea. But we have friends coming up from Tampa for Sat and Sun and their girls will NEED to do Mk. So we will hit it at opening and hope for the best. We have a 1:00 lunch at Chef Mickey's( they just opened lunch up due to the popularity of the free DP) and play it by ear from there. Maybe Earl of Sandwich for dinner

Sept 17--MGM day(?) this could change after I talk to our friends tonight. If they want to do AK then those days clould flip flop. Either way those are short parks for us. If we do MGM on the 15th we can see Lights Motors Action stunt show(or whatever the name is) before it closes. Dinner is 7:05 at Ohana, our new must do in each trip.

Sept 18- We will have one day left and it is a Morning EMH at AK. Maybe we will go to AK for one last ride on EE. Or whatever the guys want. Then we hop a bus to DD get some Earl of Sandwich to go for on the plane. Then back to the resort for DME to take us to the airport.

So those are our plans, subject to change. We are going to try to let Mattie take the lead as much as possible. Time for the boy to start learning trip planning. After all he is only about 10-15 years from taking his own kids to WDW(with grandma and grandpa tagging along of course!)
