Was the chocolate mousse supposed to be a volcano? Yech is right -- looked downright gory!

I think so It was horrible, either way

Marnie - Love the picture of the kids sleeping. They look so cute! I agree with everyone else. The desert looks yucky!

WOW, Marnie! Thanks for sharing your experience with the luau. From the pictures, it looks like so much fun! (I haven't been since 1979, when I was 11...that was back when everyone received a 'necklace' made of small shells....I still have one packed in my parents' attic somewhere)

Sorry to hear that your 'introduction' to the Poly was less than magical.

The Luau looks like fun. Sorry that your day wasn't too magical though. That's sad.

Sorry you weren't feeling the magic at the Poly. I was actually considering staying there next December for a family gathering trip but I'm having second thoughts now. Glad you enjoyed the Luau though. The food does look good except for the chocolate mousse volcanos. Looking forward to reading about your magical morning.

<font color="blue"> Day 15 – Friday, August 25th – Another Magical Beginnings Morning, More Rain, and a Missed Meet

I don’t know what time we rose this morning. It was a bit of a restless night sleep, as there was a constant dripping noise from the fan/vent in the bathroom. Finally, Matt got up and just closed the bathroom door. It was EMH morning at MK (another Magical Beginnings morning) so we were up to the monorail by 7:30, I believe. A quick ride around the lake, and we were making our way to the turnstiles. This morning was a bit of a change, as they let us into the park about 7:45 or 7:50 and we were able to walk up Main Street. Then they held us at Fantasyland until 8. Of course, it was more like 8:05, but who’s counting There were characters out again everywhere, which made for a magical start.

We made the mad dash for Dumbo again, and had the second or third ride of the morning. Stitch again was riding on Dumbo, and Alexa was hoping that she would get chosen to ride with him. Alas, this did not happen, and I had a very sad girl

I think we must have done Peter Pan next, and he was out as usual (with Wendy) playing with all the kids. Next up was the Carousel, where Colin got Cindy’s horse, and Alexa the one on the outside!!

Then Alexa was yelling to go on Pooh bear again. We’ve never ridden so many times in our life as we did this trip! There was no line whatsoever, and I think we went on it twice

Next up, we hopped across to Pooh’s Thoughtful Spot to play with Pooh and Eeyore. They were out and about, having a great time with the kids and kicking a ball around.

The Hidden Nemo ship – Thanks Angie

By now it was approaching 9, and the characters were all disappearing. Matt was getting hungry, and Alexa wanted to ride BTMRR. Matt took Colin to the Main Street Bakery, and I took Alexa to BTMRR. We walked right on to the ride, and had a great time! I asked her if she wanted to go again, but she reneged. Then we passed Splash, and I asked her if she wanted to give it a try, and she said no Gee, couldn’t tell you the last time I rode Splash!

Alexa and I headed back to Main Street to eat breakfast, which consisted of a chocolate chip muffin (for her) and a crumb cake for me. With a bagel, cinnamon roll, and some fruit and drinks, it came to $17.50. I went to get FPs for Buzz while everyone was finishing up. Then it was almost time for Cinderellabration. I wanted to watch it, since this is the last time we’d see it (it’s been replaced with something else, I think). Boy, was the sun hot that early in the morning We roasted, and then headed off to Tomorrowland.

Alexa wanted to take a picture with Pleakley!

Next up was the Indy Speedway. It was the typical 15-20 minute wait

And then over to Buzz.

Colin wanted to ride Goofy’s Barnstormer. Alexa wanted a frozen lemonade, so she and Matt sat on the bench in front of the train station and rested. Lucky for us, there wasn’t anyone in line after we had ridden it once, and they let us stay on and we got to ride two times in a row Colin loved that
