The Grand Fiesta 10th Anniversary Trip Report - Cruise Part THREAD 4 COMPLETED Updated 10/18 Day 8 Part 3.......Epcot EMH
We had no real plans for tonight, other than to finish up the mask at Epcot. It was also EMH night as well. Colin fell asleep after his tub, so we placed him in the stroller, and headed in thru the IG. There was a huge line of people just as we got up to the bridge between England and France. Come to find out, there were all getting their EMH bracelets. Geez people, it’s still hours away, what’s the rush We decided to do dinner at the Yakatori House, as we always have a good meal there, and we still had some CS credits to burn. Time was running out, as we were leaving for the Port tomorrow and we had to get rid of these credits. Matt had the Tempura Shrimp Udon, I had the Chicken Ginger Salad, and I think we got the Teriyaki kids meal for Alexa. It came with some sort of cake for dessert (might have been ginger). All told, probably about $25 for 3 CS credits.
We moved toward China to get Alexa another fan (since Colin broke the first one). That accomplished, she wanted to play with the puppets.
Next up was Mexico, Canada, and England, which were all quick stops, as we were just finishing the masks (Colin was still napping).
That done, we decided to head toward Mission Space and Test Track to see how the lines there were. I believe all the FPs were gone for TT, so we headed to MS. No line here, at least for the green version, so Matt took Alexa on that while I waited. She was excited to ride, and we were comfortable with her riding the green version (not sure of the orange). 5 minutes for green, 90 minutes for orange .
I ended up talking with a nice couple from NJ, who were waiting for their older kids on MS as well. They were asking about crowd levels, and I mentioned that the crowds have really picked up in the last week due to the free dining. They too were coming down already, and when the free dining was announced, it was an added bonus. We also go to talking about EMH at Epcot, and I told them in my experience, it was crowded. We’ll see if it pans out for tonight.
Alexa and Matt finally came out, and then it was my turn with her. The line hadn’t really changed, and it was still 5 minutes for the green side.
Once we were done with that, it was almost time for IllumiNations. We decided to skip it tonight (or at least up by the lagoon). Colin had just woke up, and he was hungry, so we went to the Electric Umbrella (first time here). I got a chicken strip combo, with a fruit cup and a coke, and used a CS credit (which left us 2 more). Total would have been $12.43. We sat outside and could see some of the fireworks, but not the whole show. At least we could hear the music.
Matt went into Mousegears to get Alexa one of those string things that the string zoomed around from some handle you held. Like she needed that She also wanted an ice cream, so I trucked off to one of the carts to pick it up. I also got a water. We still had 12 snack remaining I went to take some pictures of SE.
We weren’t sure what to do at this point. We let most of the crowd exit the park, and then headed to the stop by Mousegears to get our bracelets (no line). Then we headed over to the Living Seas to see TTwC one more time. However, the line was HUGE! Matt wanted to see the American Adventure (since he had missed it earlier in the week) so he took Colin with him, and Alexa and I waited. Amazingly, we got into the next show. It was a great time again, with some different jokes.
At this point, it was approaching 10:30, and it was time to head back. What a long day, and I hadn’t even started to pack yet
Once back in the room, Alexa was asleep in no time, and I brought out the suitcases and started filling them up. I got thru at least half of it by the time Matt and Colin arrived (I think I gave up after 11:15). On their way to the American Pavilion, they had gone left by Mexico and China, and the bridge had been up to let the IllumiNations barges thru. Of course, he didn’t get a picture of it because he was now running late for the show! He made it though, and snapped these pictures of their night.
Lights out! We had a 8 AM ADR at Cape May Café in the morning!
Memories of our Eighth Day
The weather today was…….cloudy and humid, although no rain, mid 80s.
The best thing today was …….Suess Landing for the kids.
The worst thing today was ………all the water rides at IoA, because no one would go on them.
The funniest thing today was…….taking a picture with the Grinch.
Today we tried……..Islands of Adventure and the Electric Umbrella…….
And the results were………..IoA was better than US but still lacking the Disney magic. EU was good.
The most magical moment today was…….riding in Suess Landing with no one around.
Coming Up Next…….A character breakfast, “I” finish packing, a great autograph, and some rockets
