To be cont. – More food more wine!

Ben and I woke up at about 5:00 PM and made some phone calls home to our families to let them know we had arrived OK and were having a good time. We both got ready and dressed in our nicest clothes we brought. We then decided to take the bus to Magic Kingdom and then take the monorail to the Contemporary for our 7:30 PM reservation at the California Grill. We gave ourselves an hour to get there from the CBR but with it being MNSSHP it took a little longer and we arrived 10 minutes late…no problem…they swept us away into the wine room for dinner (it was very nice and private). Our table was decorated with confetti. Our waiter was very friendly and helped us pick out a moderately priced bottle of wine for our meal…he was so wonderful and gave us tips on wine tasting. It took Ben and I a while to decide what we wanted because everything looked so yummy…but in the end we went with the following:

Me: Appetizer-Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras - with plum chutney and freshly baked plum tart
Main Course-Yoshie's Deluxe Sushi Platter - Maki and Nigiri
Desert-Strawberries Forever - creamy goat cheese cheesecake with strawberry soup, strawberry salad, and balsamic jelly

Ben: Appetizer- Yoshie's Sushi Sampler
Main Course-Oak-fired Beef Filet with Boniato Mashed Potatoes, Blue Lake beans, and Teriyaki Barbecue Sauce
Desert-Honey Crunch Cake - vanilla sponge cake, whipped sweet cream, nectarines, and peach tea gelee

I had never tried Foie Gras but was pleasantly surprised by the taste. Ben and I loved everything and the ambiance could not be beat. We took our time eating, sipping wine, and giggling about being married…it was wonderful. I went to the restroom and returned to find our desert was waiting for us. We had a congratulation plaque in chocolate on bens desert and I had a candle in my desert…we were so excited about the special attention. The fireworks were starting and the balcony outside was packed with everyone from the restaurant so we stayed inside and sat in the lounge are and watched the Magic Kingdoms MNSSHP fireworks show…it was amazing. Ben then looked at me and said “And people say Disney isn’t romantic”. We finished up or desert and headed out. With fuller than full tummy’s we retired to the CBR for the evening. I got a cute picture of Ben in front of Magic Kingdom on our way back to CBR.

What a wonderfully romantic and yummy dinner at CG! DH and I ate there at the end of September and also enjoyed great food and an awesome view of Hallo-wishes!
Keep it coming, please!

To be Cont-baby dont be scared

November 1- Day 4- To Be Continued…Don’t be Sacred Baby!

The next morning Ben and I woke up early so we could enjoy some breakfast at the CBR food court. We split the adult breakfast platter…which was very yummy…a good way to start off your day. We the decided to head to MGM for opening. We arrived at MGM with 30 minutes to spare before opening so we hung out and discussed how great our meal was the night before…and then I began to notice something …all of these young couples had Just Married Buttons on…they were big and cute with Cinderella and Prince Charming. I frowned and asked Ben why we didn’t have Just Married Button. He shrugged at me and then I asked the couple next to us where they got there button…they told us they were given the button at check in at there resort …well it did not surprise us that the CBR looked over that when we checked in. I sucked it up after Ben promised when we went back to the hotel he would stop at the custom house to get us each a button. We headed into the park and watched the opening show which was different then the one last time we were here…it was really cute. We then rushed over to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. We were the first group in line for the ride…a cast member came out and told us congratulations on being the first group and we all won MGM fast passes for the day…Ben and were so excited and so was everyone else…it was a great way to start our morning. RNRC was just like I remembered it fast and awesome…we rode it 3 more times and the headed to Tower of Terror…well Ben started to get really nervous…even though he rode this on previous trips…when Ben gets nervous he wont talk to me so I kept trying to calm him down and he just tried to shush me…so I whispered “don’t be scared baby” right before we plummeted 13 stories over and over. After that Ben was fine and we headed over to Voyage of the Little Mermaid…I love this show… the theater is so awesome looking. After Voyage of the Little Mermaid we went to our favorite exhibit in MGM “One Mans Dream” …we took our time looking through the museum part and then we watched the movie which always makes me tear up. After One Mans Dream we headed over to Beauty and the Beast…Ben had never seen this show and I had saw it once but a long time ago. Ben loved the show…Beauty and the Beast is one of his favorite Disney movies. After the show we rode RNRC 2 more times and then decided to leave MGM for the day and get some lunch. We still had our ultimate fast passes so we decided to give them to a couple to use since we were leaving…I approached a man and his wife and gave them the passes and explained to them how to use them…they were really excited and kept telling me thank you thank you thank you! It was a good feeling to pass on the joy.

It was 1:00 PM and Ben and I were very hungry so I mentioned that we could take the boat over to the Beach Club to try Beaches and Cream (both of our first times)…Ben thought that was a great idea and we headed to the boat dock. We arrived at the Beach Club and with a cast members help we found our way to Beaches and Cream. We had a 20 minute wait. When we were finally seated we were beyond hungry. We both order burger heaven…one with fry one with onion rings and two chocolate milk shakes…we loved this place and devoured every bit of our food.. After our pig out fest we headed back to the CBR and then in true Maria and Ben fashion we took a two hour nap.

To be Continued-Staying out past curfew!

To be Continued-Staying out past curfew!

As soon as we woke up from our naps Ben went to the custom house and got our Just married Button…he said it wasn’t easy and the lady at the front desk looked at him like he was crazy. We then decided to go to the main pool for some relaxation…much needed after our 2 hour nap. We both go drinks at the poolside bar …I had some kind of Pirates Sunken Treasure Frozen Concoction and Ben had a Cappuccino Chiller with Starbucks Liquor. Both drinks were fabulous and after a couple of sips Ben and decided we just had to go down the pool slide so we did 3 or 4 times until the little kids came back to reclaim it from us. We lounged out by the pool for awhile (Ben knows lounging by the pool is my favorite part of vacationing). We decided tonight would be a good night for Pleasure Island and DTD so we headed back to our room to get ready. We arrived at DTD at around 7 PM and it seemed a bit crowded but in the stores it wasn’t so bad. We first went in to Disney's Days of Christmas store I really wanted to buy an ornament but Ben told me to wait on it until the end of the trip and so I did not have to carry it all around with us…I obliged. We then went to the candy store were I was in heaven …Ben got an espresso and we headed out on our way towards Pleasure Island. I stopped along the way at a Margarita Stand and bought Ben and me…a frozen concoction to help us hold on. We sat and enjoyed our margaritas laughing about how expensive they were. When we got to Pleasure Island it was only 7:45 so nothing was really happening yet…so I went on a desperate search for a bathroom and finally found one. Ben and I really wanted to go to the Adventurers Club…we loved it on our last trip…when I walked out of the bathroom we heard an announcement that The Adventurers Club would be opening at 8 PM for a free sneak preview. Ben and I rushed over, sat at the bar, and ordered tow kungaloosh punches. The bartender was really sweet even though she knew very little about Disney…we told her we where staying at the CBR and she thought we meant the Poly…and then we told her we ate at the California Grill and she seemed confused. The show began soon after and of course Ben and I were sporting our just married button…so we go to be the center of attention for most of the show. The only bad thing was that these parents brought there tow children that night and the little boy seemed to be possessed by the devil he was yelling at the characters at the adventurers club and the mom looked horrified but her husband would not leave. We went though all the rooms and enjoyed the sing along in the library the best. After two Kungaloosh punches, a margarita, and a dirty martini Ben and I decided to head back to the CBR. ..But not before Ben got to go to the cigar shop on the West End. While he was shopping there I found a pin cart and bought a cute bride Minnie/ groom Mickey pin. Ben found me happy about his cigar purchase and we headed to the bus stop. The bus was packed and we ended up sitting a cross form a couple who were just married and from Louisiana….we had a wonderful chat…and exchanged many congratulations.

When we finally got back to the CBR we decided to open the bottle of Champagne that my brother had bought me as a wedding gift. We had saved the plastic champagne flutes we received at EPCOT for the food and wine festival. We went sit out on the beach and enjoyed our champagne it was a wonderful end to our day…and Ben and I recognized again the misconception people have about Disney world not being a romantic honeymoon choice. After we finished of the champagne we called it a night.

November 2- Day 5- To Be Continued…Ive wanted to eat here my whole life

We woke up early and as I was packing for the parks...I could not fine my camera bag anywhere....we realized we probably left it on the beach the night before...Ben went to look and he was right ...there it was...on the beach...

Next, we headed over to Magic Kingdom for EMH. We slowly walked/skipped down main street …I love the feeling of walking into magic kingdom first thing in the morning it just makes me so happy.

Ben and I headed over to Fantasyland because Frontierland was not open yet. We rode the teacups which tested us a bit because of the wine we gulped the night before we also rode the carousel which is a must for every Disney trip for me at least twice…. I just love the carousel.

We then went over to see Poohs playful corner…, which was so cute…

Ben really wanted to go see Phillar Magic but I really wanted to go on Splash Mountain bad bad bad.
We waited about 10 minutes for them to open frontierland and we went straight to Splash Mountain…screech…our plans came to a hault when a cast member let us know that splash mountain was experiencing some tech issues and that it should open soon. I begged Ben to wait with me …which he though was ridiculous until a crowd of people joined behind us ready to wait out the glitch…we waited for a bout 15 minutes and then finally we were ushered on…Ben is scared of this ride and does not allow me to talk to him through out the whole thing because of his anxiety about the drop…so I entertained myself by singing….Splash Mountain still comes out on top as my favorite attraction at WDW I love it!
After Splash Mountain, we rode Big Thunder Mountain about 4 or 5 times we just couldn’t stop…Ben loves this ride and his smile made me just want to ride it over and over and over.
After Frontierland we headed to Tom Sawyers Island which I had never visited before…Ben visited it when he was 6 years old so we were excited to visit it together.
Tom Sawyers Island in my opinion is a hidden gem. We must have explored and relaxed for about an hour and a half on the island…I loved the cave and all of the bridges.

By this time Ben and I were very hungry…so I finally got to eat at a magic kingdom eatery I have always wanted to try….Casey’s Corner…it did not disappoint…I had a hotdog wit mustard, mayo and sauerkraut and crackerjacks for desert which I stowed away for latter…Ben had a plain hotdog …we sat outside and listened to the piano player and fought off the birds…after lunch we headed back to the hotel for some pool and pool drink action.

A night to remember...

As Ben and I were walking out of Magic Kingdom we decided we really wanted to come back that night…but we had a reservation at Le Cellier at 7PM…we decided to cancel it and make a reservation for Tonys Town Square instead…they reserved us a table for 8PM and we headed to the hotel.

We returned back to the CBR after our morning at the Magic Kingdom. We both decided we need a frozen drink so we headed to the pool…which was packed…I cannot imagine it during the summer months. Ben went the bar and we both had margaritas …we people watched for a while and then decided to go to the gist shop to do a little shopping. I almost dropped all of my money on scrap booking supplies but in the end, I settled for a nice wooden Disney scrapbook and a bottle of the fairytale champagne.
We headed back to our room for a nap we had a 8 PM reservation at Tony’s Town Square so we set our wake up call for 4 PM so we could head back to Magic Kingdom.
We had a nice nap and woke up a little before the wake up call…

We arrived at Magic Kingdom at around 5:30…and I of course wanted to ride Splash Mountain so Ben gave in . We walked around a bit noticing the Christmas decorations popping up all over magic Kingdom including a big Christmas tree.

It was only 7 PM and Ben and I were starving so we decided to test our luck at getting seated early at Tony’s…we checked in and waited in the rowdiest waiting area I had ever experienced….people were nuts…lots of people were trying to be seated outside to get a good view of spectro magic . Ben and I stood back and after 30 minutes, we were escorted to a great seat facing outside so we could watch spectro magic. Our waiter was very nice…and the food was delicious…but the most wonderful thing happened in the middle of our meal…the hostess a little old lady in her 60’s came and talked to Ben and I …she asked how the food was…and where we were from…she was so sweet and then when she saw we were newly weds she leaned in and sang us the entire song Belle Notte
From Lady and the Tramp. I of course teared up and Ben did to…after singing she left, Ben and I finished up our desert. We went to find her on our way out to thank her…but she had went home for the night…this was by far the most magical thing I had ever experienced and it made my night my trip and my honeymoon.

The food was delicious as well especially my…Tomato and Mozzarella Salad and the gelato and tiramisu

After Spectro Magic the bus lines were insane to get back to the CBR…so it took us forever to get back to the CBR. But we finally made it back and went straight to our room for sleep.

To Be Cont…. Another Day at Animal Kingdom My new Favorite Place….
