Halloween Trip 2006: Fun, Friends, and Spooks Part 4 Trip Report Complete with final thoughts added

[b] [b]This is Part 4.

If you’re just joining us, Here’s the links to the previous reports:
“Semi-Live” - Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3

Now, on with the final part of this trip report…

11/4 starts with a farewell breakfast for Sue and Steve It is also our last full day at WDW

Anyway, we’re off to Coronado Springs as we’re having breakfast with Sue, Steve, Angie and Donna at the Maya Grill. Jan and I have never been here before, so we arrive a little early to get some photos…

Jan’s

Mine

In the gift shop…

They finally got there before my stomach ate my backbone and we were escorted to our table…

No, he didn’t eat breakfast with that thing attached… I don’t think he did

What’s so funny…

Him…

Breakfast was over, and it was good…

The picture of Steve and Sue. We really hated to see them leave, we had a wonderful time this trip. But they did have a long ride home and needed to get back to reality…

Next, it was off to AKL so Donna could change…

Then it was off to the magic kingdom…

The navigator (me) messed up and we had to go around and come back in again… Anyway, we got parked and headed for the Ferry…

Pics from the ferry ramp as we waited…

From the top of the ferry on the way over…

MK was a little busy. Jan, Donna, and Angie headed towards Tara while I waited for Mark and Cheryl… I occupied my time…

Christmas decorations are going up fast…

From the upper deck of the train station

The Fun Day Parade is pretty neat. They grab a bunch of park guests and have a parade from the circle in front of the castle to the entrance to Main Street…

As Donna said in her report, the park was full, rides were out or backed up, so we decided to SHOP

NEXT: DTD and EPCOT!!!

Got a question - how would you rate the breakfast at Maya Grill? The menu looks pretty good, but I haven't read anywhere on this site about this breakfast.

Sorry this trip report is coming to an end, I've totally enjoyed the pictures.

I for one enjoyed it! I sampled some eggs with salsa which was a nice twist. Jan enjoyed some grits and I think a few slathered their biscuits with gravy! I don't think the pastries were anything special but in that that Bill took of me I was enjoying French toast made from Texas toast(what I call thick slices!).

I've never been to CS either. I've stayed at all of the other moderates, but I've never had a desire to go there for some reason. Your photos make it look interesting. I may have to go visit on my next trip.

What a shame we missed you guys for breakfast - it looks like you all had a great time! And boy, the Magic Kingdom was busy that day!

Lovely MK photos. The Christmas decorations are looking great. Shame about the crane though

I've loved your report and I'm so sorry it's coming to an end.

I didn't know anything about it, until Sue e-mailed me and invited me on their ADR for that last breakfast. It is one that will be on my list to visit again, the food was great!!!

And I was equally as sorry that we weren't able to breakfast with you and Wendy that morning, but I heard you had fun also. In fact, I never got to meet Wendy this trip, one of my wishes... Hopefully next time

Re: Halloween Trip 2006: Fun, Friends, and Spooks Part 4

[b] DTD and EPCOT!!!

When the group broke up, Tara and Angie were headed for AKL, Cheryl and Mark were headed for Best Buy and Jan, Donna and I were headed for DTD…

We got there and started hitting the shops. Jan and I had bought very little so far… And we had a few things specifically in mind…

Some pics…

The girls did some shopping here…

Jan got a shot of me hard at work…thinking

Now we headed for the other side…

Jan and I hit World of Disney…

My little spitting buddy

Angie called and told us Tara had headed for the airport. She hopped a bus and joined us. We got some food at Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace, then headed back towards the truck… Side stepping through part of Pleasure Island…

Jan got a pic of Angie and I chillin’ while they visited the Tara Room

Back to the truck, and it was off to EPCOT for more whine and food fest and Illuminations with Cheryl and Mark…

The skies were clear. I hope you can see the airplane contrails in this photo…

We hoofed it around to Norway, where Cheryl and Mark were having dinner and Angie got up with them for a few minutes, then the four of us wandered around having a great time with each other and enjoying our last night at The World…

I’m not a diligent as Cheryl, so I have no idea what this is, but I do remember tha Angie and Donna liked it… I think…
Some of Jan’s photos…

Back to mine…

We met up with Mark and Cheryl… Some close up pics…

Some more of Jan’s pics

Jan practiced taking night shots…

And I shot a few…

We’re sitting around chatting in front of Italy, waiting for Illuminations to start…

Jan needs her shades, the flash is bright

Illuminations… Jan first…

Mine…

After Illuminations, we got a photo of the group…

Then, we S L O W E L Y walked back towards the front of the park, we were all parked there. This would be the last time we did this, this trip Cheryl and I helped by constantly stopping to get some more photos… As the park emptied, there were more opportunities

Angie needed a rest, and her friends didn’t want her laying on that cold, hard bench

And then we headed out into the parking lot. We said goodnight to Cheryl and Mark, Jan and I would see them in the morning. We drove Angie and Donna back to AKL, and said our goodbye’s We had a lot of fun with these two and will look forward to seeing them again on our next adventure…

Jan and I headed back to POP and started packing…

NEXT: 11/5 EPCOT with Cheryl and Mark then homeward bound…

OMG! It's only 6 a.m. here and everybody else is sleeping. I had to stifle a few belly laughs when I saw some of those pictures, Bill! And I need that group shot after Illuminations was over!!

I don't remember what that tart was called, or even which country it came from. But I do remember it was sweet and it was

I hate when someone's trip report comes to an end! It's almost as sad as when my actual trip ends!! I love all of your nighttime shots Bill! I can't wait to get down there with my new rebel! I didn't have it on my birthday trip so I hope to get some mad skills like you!

I enjoyed that evening so much! You guys are so awesome
The first food photo was of the Lambchop from Australia which was sooo yum! Then I shared the Macadamia Nut tart with everyone Looking back I was just an eating machine that evening
I especially liked this viewing of Illuminations because from our vantage point we saw the higher fireworks of Wishes simultaneously!
And I think this was the slowest walk out of any park ever! No one wanted to have to say goodbye

It also gave Obi-wan (Bill) and his apprentice Skywalker (Cheryl)or was it Palpatine & Vader a chance to go snap-happy with an empty park!

I can't wait to see you all again!
