| Great update Jill. I am so glad to hear that someone finally came to rescue that poor little lost bunny. Your meal at Jiko sounds wonderful. I have had both the steak and the scallops there and they were both so good. I wish I had some now! I can hardly wait to eat there again in December. |

| Thanks for coming to the rescue of that bunny! What an experience that was. DH and I enjoyed Jiko a few visits back. DH likes Boma better but we'd go back to Jiko like a shot!

| Thank Thom for baby-sitting the bunny! I'd hate to think what could have happened had it been left on the sidewalk. Such a wonderful family you have! I love the pics of the girls, they are just adorable. |

| First off---Maddie and Min's nose......too much! ![]() I too am so glad that Thom stayed with the baby bunny on bebby bunnyz deh owt. Just the photo of the tiny bunny on the sidewalk made me nervous, I was reading the adventures with my hands over my eyes, he was so small! I want one of these well-behaved children you document so well. If not, at least I know where to find a mango marg if I'm in the AKL pool area. My bro and sil don't get the dining thing either----and they also don't think you need to stay on property and certainly wouldn't make it to the AKL. It kind of ticks me off that they think my judgment is so trashy and off. Oh well, their loss right. Glad you enjoyed Jiko. We had a good meal there (truthfully, all I can remember are the 3 chocolate martinis) and I'd like to sit over by the oven sometime.

| Okay, Jill.... One more thing to add to us being separated at birth -- that we both love WDW and our margaritas, that our husbands could be twins, and that we're both in love with your daughters!!! I ADORE SCALLOPS TOO!! ![]() Great update! Glad that the "bebby buhnay" finally got some assistance (and shame on those kids for carrying it around -- you just know that they found a nest somewhere and robbed it. Shame, shame, shame!) I'm really looking forward to your marathon day at the MK! Eileen

| Jill - Just catching up on your TR. I visited AKL for the first time on my visit last fall and really enjoyed it. I ate at Boma, but peaked into Jiko and it looked like a wonderful place to dine. I good food and so eating is an integral part of any vacation I'm on. I think Disney does a great job of offering good food at a variety of price points and many different cuisines. to your DH for being the "bebby buhnay"'s protector. He looks so small and defenseless in your picture. As I've said before - your daughters are adorable. Maddie with the characters is just too cute and Mary DeVall is sharp as a tack! You're really blessed.

| Love the report, as always. I was so disappointed that we didn't make it out to AKL this trip. It had been on our schedule for our 4th day, but I realized that we were trying to pack too much in, so I canceled it. Of course, that was the day I ended up sick, so I guess it worked out for the best. If it'd missed it because I was sick, I would have been really mad! So proud of Maddie and that steak! Kate's not quite ready for that yet! Looking forward to reading about more of your family's adventures!

| The Problem with Parades - Thread 2 Updated 2/24 Day Four Part One I was up again at 7 a.m. and the rest of my crew got moving pretty quickly. A MK bus was already at the bus stop when we arrived with a longish line, but we easily made it on. Thom had Maddie and thankfully someone offered him a seat. A lady sitting by herself offered her other seat to us, so Mary Devall sat on my lap. We had such a nice time chatting with her. She had made the long journey from Hawaii and was really enjoying herself. We compared restaurants and Mary Devall immediately had to tell her about all of the wine bottles at Jiko. As the bus pulled up, I told her that we were eating breakfast with Lilo and Stitch that morning and realized that it was meant to be for us to share a seat with someone from Hawaii. A boat had just pulled up at the Poly/GF dock so we decided to take the boat instead of the monorail to ‘Ohana. We stopped at GF first, lost a few passengers, added a few passengers and then took off for the Poly. As we approached the Poly, I felt a mist hitting my face. At first, I thought it was spray from the boat and then realized that it was drizzling. Rain! Weather.com said nothing about rain today! Anyway, it was really light so we barely got wet as we made our way from the dock to the Ceremonial House. We went upstairs to check in, got our pager and then proceeded to camp out for the next 45 minutes right beside the hostess stand. Our ADR was for 9:30, so a little before 10 a.m. I checked in at the hostess stand. Luckily, we were coming up next. We were seated at the same time as two young women who had just checked in less than 10 minutes before. I think that bothered me more than anything. This was my second time having breakfast at ‘Ohana and the second time that I had to wait over 30 minutes. When we were finally seated, it took a while for our server to even show up to take our drink orders. Then we realized that Thom had left my room key in the room so I was up the creek for the EMH at MK that evening. Then when the first character came by, I pulled the camera out and saw that the memory card was out of space. I spent the next few minutes deleting pictures that we didn’t need while Thom took video of the girls with the characters. Once our drinks and food arrived, some space was found on the memory card and we realized that we could probably fix the no room key/EMH situation without returning to the room, I decided that it was time to forget about the morning’s problems and concentrate on being happy (just as I tell Mary Devall all the time - - make the choice to be happy). The morning took a definite upswing at that point – Mary Devall had a blast being in the character parade and shaking her maracas, Maddie had link sausages and the characters that we missed taking pictures with on the first round actually came back around for pictures. Our server ended up being a really nice guy too. Despite ending on a happy note, I will not be back to ‘Ohana for breakfast any time soon. We had an ADR there for our June trip and I’ve already called to cancel. Waiting that long with an ADR still makes my blood boil, so I made the choice to be happy without pineapple bread. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
