Amy, I would be really cautious with that Sept. 13 ADR for Teppanyaki. I had one there for the 6th and had to change it because the restaurant is not scheduled to open until after the 15th. I spoke with Elwood in Guest Services because I was slightly upset that no one told me this information when I made my ADR and then no one called me once they found out the restaurant would still be closed and then upset I couldn't get a replacement ADR for a normal dinner time because of circumstances completely out of my control. (They ended up fixing it to my satisfaction)

I really think you need to have a backup ADR and if Teppan Edo opens then keep that res and cancel the backup. We canceled ours all together because Elwood told me he spoke with the restaurant personally and they said they were having their "soft" opening for the end of September.

Thanks I am currently trying to rework my itinerary to have a back up ADR so don't worry as you probably can tell i change things alot so i have no doubt that this isn't the final itinerary! But Thank you so much for letting me know!

Ok now folks I’d like to remind you of the title of this trip report and this next announcement is why trips like this happen!

Now if you all remember this trip all started with an overage of credits, a fabulous Ding Fare and well after a couple changes has been turned into a Free Food , Free Upgrade, Dinging Good Time !

Well after having a tasty 4th of July meal and then going out for Sundae’s I came home having worked 9 hours at work logged onto my Computer and there sitting on my Computer was a Ding! Figuring it was going to be a flight to Timbuktu for way more then we were used to paying I was going to just not look at it. See for the last couple months since I booked the fares out of Hartford have been outrageously priced. Well I relented and checked and boy am I glad that I did!

There sitting in front of me was a Ding Fare from Hartford to Orlando for August 16 until Halloween for …get this… $64 each way!!!!!! Since I was paying $99 that was something I was excited to see! So I called up Customer Service because I had booked and then the last change I had made caused the Internet support team to override my fares it wouldn’t let me change it this time online. So the Customer Service representative cancelled my flights and then I immediately rebooked at the Ding fare that was currently offered. With my new confirmation numbers in Hand I was able to hang up and do a little “I just saved $140” dance around the house!

My mom now is looking for a way to use that savings as we have to use them by December 31st since we were paying with credits from a flight we had cancelled last year and rebooked at a lower fare. Another vacation I’m all for that!

Up next… We will just make this a Land and Sea adventure sort of!

Okay, I think reading your pre-trip report is starting to rub off on me. I had plans that were set in stone a few months ago, but now I am changing them up and adding to them.

Glad you were able to take advantage of the "Ding". And I like the way your mom thinks! There is nothing wrong with another vacation!

Great Ding! Lucky you! Everybody in this area wants a Sonic too! I've never even seen one. I just saw today that RnRC is down for rehab Sept. 4-30. I sure hope it opens on time cause we're gonna be there a couple days later and I'm already sad that Spaceship Earth and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are going to be closed! Looking forward to your next update!
