| What a beautiful story. Thanks for sharing it with us. I'm sure once your darling DD sees the characters and princesses she'll forget all about what her friend said about them. The princesses and other characters take their roles very seriously and will definitely be real to her.

| Hey Bill, thanks for the link to DISboards. I really enjoyed reading your posts on there, as well as the MaW TRs. Very very helpful!! Seaworld (San Diego, the only one I've been to) is very cool, I'm sure your princess will love it!! The Artic ride is a lot like the Star Tours ride at DL and WDW. It's really fun, but a little jerky as you have *unexpected events* on the ride. You are soo close to your trip, I'm so excited for you!!

| You'll love Seaworld too; our DS adored being there, and the characters (what there were) were attentive to him there as well. Sorry about 'grinchy' there... we had a grinchy lady once tell our DD that Santa wasn't real. Granted, she was probably 9 at the time, but that (and Mickey & Friends) magic is something we like to hold on to, even as adults. Keep us posted, and don't hesitate to PM me if you have any Give Kids questions... Susan

| Good News Bad News First the Good News: We received a mailing and an email from Give Kids the World today. Woooohooo! ![]() Unfortunately, our Wish Trip package will not be ready for us until 6 days before we go. That is rough on an advance planner like me. ![]() Our Send Off party will be at Chuck e Cheese on Tuesday, September 11th. That should be a blast. ![]() Yesterday, Lysi and I looked over the souvenir trip-planning maps we ordered from Disney. They came with our Trip D.V.D. Both are awesome. ![]() Now the Bad News: Social Security has cut off Elysia's Medicaid. Bill

| I hope the insurance problem is just a glitch in the system, but how terrible to have to worry about that on top of what your family has had to deal with. Just concentrate on your wonderful upcoming trip!

| Thank you all for the pixie dust and kind thoughts ![]() Trip preparation proceeds apace (I have always wanted to use that word). ![]() We still have not found Misting Fans, so I guess our trip to Orlando will include a visit to Wal-Mart . It sure seems like it. That will just add to the mystery and magic.Knowing how I try to PLAN for EVERYTHING... you will not be surprised to hear that I have begun tracking Tropical Storms. I am not sure how I think this will help, but, hey, if you are going to be obsessive, why leave the weather out? ![]() Someone mentioned entertainment on the plane. I am in the process of "ripping" audio files into MP3 format for my player . We can use it on the plane. I have the entire books of Psalms and Proverbs (KJV-Dollar Store disks), a kids musical, the Disney "Friends" song CD, LOTS of my favorite music and am adding the last book in the "Mitford" series, "Light from Heaven." We are still planning on a Leap Frog, and have some Disney books for me to read to her. We plan to check out some books on tape with "read-along" books. Add coloring/ activity books and renting a video player on the plane, and that should about cover it. Oh wait, I forgot about travel games. She loves card and dice games. This could be some really good Daddy-Daughter time for us on the plane .Time is starting to fly.... if only we could figure out where her Disney rain poncho is.... stay tuned for updates on that. Bill
