Pre-trip report part 2: "I used to have money one time"

Pre-trip report, part 2: “I used to have money one time”

It’s a really nice feeling to be staring down a big vacation and know that the bulk of it has been paid for. What could be paid in advance was, and money for what could not is already sitting in envelopes in my Passporter.

Ahhhhh…..that in itself makes a relaxing start to a vacation!!

All the details are taken care of:

· nonstop flights on AirTran
· Disney’s Magical Express
· Port Orleans French Quarter
· Park hopper tickets
· Free dining (with ADRs in place)
· Mark’s KennedyCenter tour and transportation
· An ECV from ScootArama
· dogsitting
· We’ve even reserved a parking spot here at home at the airport! (and I printed a coupon from the internet to save us $2 a day…hmm…that’s $12…that’s enough to buy four MickeyBars!!

(Now…if we could just speed up time a little bit…. vacations take too long to arrive and pass by too quickly. How does that seen fair?)

up next: “Someone call a decent physician”

Maybe we'll see you in the beignet line at the food court!!

Mark may finally be getting excited about this trip; I talked about it last night and he gave me a small, brief smile. You know how it is with men -- the office will fall apart without him while he's gone...

Anyway, check out our ADR's; maybe we'll be in the same neighborhood sometime:

(insert a small heart attack here, because for a few minutes I COULDN'T FIND MY PASSPORTER!! -- into which I, a good little Passporter, have crammed EVERYTHING vital to this trip!)

Gosh; you don't realize how big your house is until you have to hunt for something!

Anyway, here's where the groceries are:

Thursday, 9/13 LeCellier 7:15pm
Friday, 9/14 breakfast at 8:30 at Kona Cafe
dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern at 6:10, before MNSSHP
Saturday, 9/15 Boma at 9pm
Sunday, 9/16 lunch at the Biergarten at 1:40
Wednesday, 9/17 dinner at the Sci-Fi at 7:10pm

I hope we can work out a meeting. I'll have my blue passpouch around my neck, and I'll be wearing a yellow Passporter's pin.

Sounds like you have some great plans there.

BTW, I have to confess that until recently, I just assumed that Jimmy Buffett was some bloke who had a restaurant at Universal. Then I kept reading about all these references to Parrotheads, Margaritaville and Cheeseburgers in Paradise. And I was listening to the radio the other day and there was some catchy jaunt about it being five o'clock somewhere, and I'm sure the DJ said it was Jimmy Buffett.

So who is this guy? This ignorant Brit needs to know.

I thought everyone would know who Jimmy Buffett is!! Maybe a quick trip to Wikipedia would help you out. You might also enjoy a free trial of Sirius satellite radio (online); channel 31 is Radio Margaritaville, which features Jimmy Buffett's music prominently.

Thanks for sticking with me this far, Karen, without understanding the underlying theme!!

Only six more days!!!

Some bloke who owns a restaurant! I love it!!!

If you like Margaritas, the beach, relaxing, the feel of the sun on your skin, seafood, sailing, etc. etc., you have to hear some of his songs!! Margaritaville.com will give you a great idea of the Jimmy Buffet franchise.
