Anniversary Presents?!?!?

many of you know from reading my report while in WDW my DH and I will be celebrating our 1rst anniversary….
The gift for the first year of your anniversary is traditionally paper…so I have been thinking about what to get DH.
And then it came to me…he loves MNSSHP and all though we already had tickets to attend on Friday, Oct 26 \ I decided what could be better than a double dose on the Sunday Oct 28 of our trip…I printed out the e-tickets on “paper” which will work out with the theme. I also got him a couple of "paper" back books on Disney
Imagineering.

Of course this surprise kind of conflicted with the plans I had made already for our trip but I made a couple of changes.
It will also be a surprise to DS and DN.I am not sure when I am going to tell them?

Our biggest changes are Jiko instead of Yachtsman for our anniversary dinner…I though Yachtsman would be better for a couples trip in the future.
And we really wanted to eat a Le Cellier this trip so I was able to snag a lunch reservation there for Sunday our actual anniversary day…yippy!

I also resubscribed to TOURGUIDEMIKE so I made a couple of changes based on some of his advice.

So here is our newly revised plan including new ADR’s and such….

Great TR. We will actually arrive in the middle of your trip. You talked earlier about a costume these and I see that DN is going to be Jasmine but I don't think I saw anything about the rest of you. Did I miss it? We're doing a Peter Pan these for MNSSHP this year.

We are going to MNSSHP on 10/30. My dh's birthday is 10/31 so I promised him dinner at Yachtsman (we love this place) on Halloween and then we'll check out the Halloween goings-on at Boardwalk.

Oh My Goodness Golly Gee!

We will be in WDW in a mere 24 days! I am beyond excited.

This past weekend my DN-Kaia came spend the weekend with me. I managed not to ruin the surprise…and tell her we were going to WDW.

But there were a couple of close calls....

When she was in my room she did she the chain link countdown and asked “Noonie What’s that for?”
Think McFly think

And then I came up with a pretty decent answer without spoiling the secret are lying…I said “it’s a countdown to your Fall Break from school…and your Halloween surprise”

Well she was intrigued and asked if she could make a chain link countdown for her house…so we sat down and constructed a countdown for her.

She was really excited.

And then out of the blue she says

“Noonie do you think we can go to Disney in February because during Mardi Gras I am off of school?”

***originally I was planning on taking her for Mardi Gras but then the trip moved up to the end of Oct. instead.

So now I am sweating and I want to say no not Mardi Gras but how about Halloween!!!! But I keep cool!

“Maybe so.” is all I said.

I met Kaia’s dad halfway to drop her off after our fun weekend! Of course halfway just so happened to be a mall with a Disney Store coincidence you decide?

After Kaia left wit her dad I bought her:
-a couple of Disney dollars
-a Disney princess sticker book
-a jasmine shirt

And I bought me…
-a pirate hat for my costume…matey

Any way I also bought a ITRIP for our trip so we can listen to our ipod on our road trip as well as keep it charged.

We decided to do a Bon Voyage party to reveal they surprise to her the day before we leave. We are going to make cupcakes and make a sign and such!

I am going to start a different thread about packing…b/c that a whole other ballpark!

Packing or thinking about packing….

You may ask yourself why I am fretting over packing when I still have 24 days to go…

Here’s the deal…

(1) This is my first time traveling with a child that I am solely responsible for (IE if she runs out of underwear my fault)

(2) Her clothes is scattered ….some of its with her mom in California. Some of its with her dad in New Orleans, and the a couple of pieces of clothing are at my house

(3)What kind of shoes are comfortable for a 7 YO foot?? Her mom is mailing me some clothes and some tennis shoes and her dad is sending me a bathing suit…so hopefully it will all come together.

I also have to pack for me and DH…

(4) We have been all over in the last couple of months …taking care of DH’s mom so we have clothes scattered but mostly is all crammed into our study while we paint our bedroom…so I am on a mission to find the clothes we are going to wear and fish it out of the study.

(5) Where is our IPOD? No clue?

(6) My sister ruined my camera on our family beach trip this summer by trying to take a picture of herself as a giant wave came into shore…long story short the ocean ate my camera…so DH and I are working on DMIL to let us borrow hers for the trip.

(7) I actually could take this one of our list because I took care of it…Cleaned out car and got oil changed.,...just need to check out tires!

All I can say is thank god my DS (14) can pack for herself!

All of this said I am still excited to think about taking my future children to WDW one day!

More to come…Costumes? Check!
