Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!
We leave in t-minus four days and its more like 3 since we are leaving at midnite!

So this week was even crazier then I thought it would be!

(1)My DMIL was released from the hospital and is doing well…she is excited to be out and about.

(2) My DH had a little bitty rash on his chest…that was causing him pain so I made him a doctors appt. ..turns out he has Shingles…so he is now on a lot of medication but decided he did not want to cancel the trip…apparently Shingles is only contagious to people who have not had chicken pox yet and people with extremely low immune systems…so my DN Kaia has never had chicken pox and my DH‘s mom has a low immune system…ahhhhh…luckily the doctor said its no longer contagious once the rash crusts over (sorry gross I know)…so as of last night it has begun to crust over Yippy…I never thought I would be so excited about something crusting over…seriously! Unfortunately for Ben many people suffer pain after the rash disappears…hopefully it will not be to bad! I need some Pixie Dust!!!!

(3) I was supposed to pick up Kaia (DN) last night but she was having a sleep over with her friend so I am going pick her up in an hour from her dads….I have to take down my calendar with the Mickey mouse stickers on the days we are leaving I don’t want to tip her off on the surprise.

(4) Today was my little sister first homecoming so I brought her get her hair done and all that jazz I also picked up a couple of things forth trip when we stopped at Walgreen’s like ibuprofen for Ben and wet wipes for the car trip and new toothbrushes.

(5) My dad finally got me tickets for the Saints game for tomorrow but DH has to work…booo!!!!

(6) LSU plays tonight …yipppy!

(7)Last night I ordered The Mickey Pirate Pumpkin and Minnie Princess Pumpkin from the Disney Florist …one to be delivered to my Nephews room at WL on Friday and the other to be delivered to our room at the Pop Century on Wednesday! I am so excited about these!

So I am finishing up packing and will write again before we leave!

great update - hope DH gets over the Shingles quickly and enjoys the trip. So glad to hear about your DMIL!!!! I'm getting excited for you!!! Can't wait to hear more!

Sorry about the Shingles.....my dad got them as well, but he did find relief once they starteed to dry out....a little pain afterwards but nothing that could not be dealt with...

You are so close...can't wait till your neice finds out....wanting to hear her reaction.....

The Cat is out of the Bag!
I repeat the Cat Is out of the Bag!

Yesterday I picked up DN-Kaia from her dads in New Orleans. The secret was still guarded and DN had no idea what it was really. As soon as she got in the car for our drive home (1 hour) she wanted to know what her surprise was.

Her guesses were:

(1) A trip to Build A bear
(2)Her mom visiting from California
(3)A puppy

So of course for our drive home she kept asking ? After ?…so I told her if her grandma let we could tell her when we got home. I called my mom on the phone and she agreed so I had to plan how to tell her the surprise when we got home.

So when we arrived my moms house DN was ready to know what the surprise was.! And I was ready to tell her…but of course her mom wanted to be on the speaker phone… so we gave DN a couple of hints before we told her the big SURPRISE!(and before we called her mom) So my mom , DH, my dad, and I were all there for the surprise.

The first thing I gave her was a Halloween PJ set I bought for her at Target….



She loved them but was anxious for more hints….

Next I gave her a bathing suit, one time use camera, and a Jasmine t-shirt, and Disney Princesses Coloring & Sticker book….

Here she is trying to figure out what all the clues could mean…





She looked over everything and still really didn’t know what it all meant….

So I told her maybe she should try the clothes on and it will help her to think of it…





She still really couldn’t think of what it could be…so we decided to call her mom to tell her the big surprise!

I decided to surprise her by putting a paper over the Walt Disney World for Kids Book I bought…the paper over the book said “Your Going Here In 3 Days”….

We called her mom and lined her up on speaker phone and then I handed DN the book…at this point I am about to bust I am so excited!

So she read the paper aloud to everyone and then lifted it to see the WDW for kids book…she still was very confused and I think just speechless …not thinking her surprise could ever be a trip to WDW in just 3 days…

So next I handed her the maps I got on the WDW website….and she kind of started to get it…she said “I’m going to Disney World” but it really started to sink in when I gave her …the wdw luggage tags to put on her suitcase….after that she was excited …and its hard to describe the level of excitement that’s why I had DH video it and I will put a link to it b/c it was so cute….for while it seems like she really doesn't believe we are going...

So now she know and she is soooo excited…she keeps saying “I just can’t believe we are going to be there in 3 days!!!” or she jumps up and down and says “ I just can’t stop bouncing”

So we are leaving at midnite on Tuesday…and I am almost all packed !

The video was just so perfect....thank you for sharing. She is adorable and it was so cute as she was trying to figure it all out....and hearing her mom on the phone....she sounded so excited for her...

Hope you trip is amazing and you should definetly get that "#1 aunt and sister" award when you get there.....
