Day 3 (8/28): On day 3, we couldn’t get the kids out of so Chubby and I headed to Epcot on our own. We rode Mission Space (for the first time). I really didn’t like it. I was nauseous for at least 30 minutes afterwards. We went on Test Track (I saw someone reading a Passporter in line ) and again not one of my favorite rides. We did have a good time at The Seas with Nemo, Club Cool, Living With the Land, and again just walking around the World. We finally got a hold of the kids and met them at MGM for lunch at Studio Catering Co., which to my surprise had pretty good food.

After lunch we saw Lights, Motors, Action Stunt Show. I thought it was really good. My husband talked me into seeing it and I really enjoyed it. We were in Disneyland Paris in March and I skipped it, which I now regret. After the show we headed back to WL to get ready for the Pirate & Princess Party at MK.

We arrived at the Pirate & Princess Party just about 7:00 pm and noticed a lot of people were exiting the park. This was really nice because we were then able to just walk on most of our favorite rides. The longest line was for Peter Pan’s flight. The wait time was about 20-25 minutes. It is such a cool ride, and it always has a long wait time. Free Spirit and Ms. Popular are teenagers and I couldn’t get them to wear a costume, but I wish they had. There were a lot of people dressed up in really cool costumes. We saw little girls and big girls dressed up as princesses in fancy dresses and a lot of really cool pirates too. Of course, Chubby had to stop at “EVERY” goodie station to get candy and colored beads. We ended up with a ton of candy and each of us had at least 15-20 strands of beads. We only saw the very end of the Enchanted Adventures Parade because we were too busy going on rides, but what I did see was pretty cool. And the fireworks were totally amazing!! We ended up getting a late night snack around 11:00 pm at Cosmic Ray’s were we found a dance party going on. We were too tired to participate, but it was fun to watch. Surprisingly, there were still a lot of little kids up dancing and having a blast. All in all, I think the best part of the evening was seeing Tinkerbell fly across the sky. I definitely want to do the P& PP again.

DAY 4 (8/29): No parks! We decided to take a day off from the parks and sleep in. WL is so nice I could’ve just hung around the hotel the entire week and still had a great time. We had leisurely breakfast at the concierge snack area and then headed over to Ft. Wilderness to visit with the horses. The horses are so sweet. There is a sign asking you not to pet the horses, but they are so friendly and they come right up to visit with you. Chubby and the kids were standing up against the fence near a gorgeous Clydesdale when I decided to take a few pictures. As soon as I took out the camera the horse stuck his nose right up next to them like he wanted to make sure he was in picture (see sig pic).

After Ft. Wilderness we headed over to the Poly to rent Sea Raycer before our reservations at Ohana. I had received a coupon upon check in for 90 minutes when you pay for 60. So, off we went in our little speed boats. Ms. Popular is only 14 years old so she had to ride with me. It wasn’t long before she’d discovered how to turn the boat in just the right way as the bigger boats were going by to make waves from the wakes go over the top of me. I ended up soaked! After about 30 minutes of this the sky turned gray and they made us return to the Poly...so much for the coupon.

After the "so called" fun with the boats, I decided to do a little shopping in the gift shop since we had time to kill before Ohana. I bought chubby some really nice Tommy Bahama shirts and a few great souvenirs to take home. I the gift shop at the Poly. Anyway, it was finally time to be seated and I was getting a little hungry by now. This was our first experience at Ohana and I wasn’t disappointed. I loved it! The shrimp and chicken wings were amazing, not to mention the steak, pork, and turkey skewers which were to die for. This is one of my all time favorite restaurants now. I already have a reservation to go back in October for MNSSHP. After our wonderful late lunch/early dinner we caught a bus to DTD and went to a movie. We then headed back to WL to get ready for more park hopping in the morning.

***Up next Boma, California Grill, more fireworks, and Mandara Spa***

Sorry that you had a bad experience with Mission: Space! I don't like roller coasters at all (can't handle Space Mountain, BARELY can handle Splash Mountain) and I LOVE Mission: Space ... my husband, who wants to do Everest & loves rollercoasters, HATES Mission: Space. Go figure! Sounds like the rest of your trip has been heavenly, though!

Just started reading your TR - you were so lucky to get upgraded to conceirge at the WL!!!! Hope you got to enjoy all the drinks and treats they serve. I love how you took a day off to visit with the horses, take out the boats and go to the movies. We don't do that too often when we visit WDW because we always feel like we should be in the Parks but it is relaxing to take that break from the parks! Looking forward to more.

Wow, that is so neat that you spent such a leisurly day, enjoying concierge service at WL! And that horse is too funny, he is like the family dog, trying to make sure he is right in the middle of your picture!
