Now on with our Show--- Known as the Trip Report!!!!
So here I am just a few hours from my trip I’m all packed, I have finished all my pass porter giude duties before having to shut down the computer and I have made sure all the preparations are done hopefully at least. Its Sunday and about 12:30am and well like that commercial says “I’m too excited to sleep” Yep I can’t sleep even though I really need to so that I can have enough energy for the flight down and our plans once in Florida. Ok one last trip to the ladies room and that’s it I’m forcing myself to sleep.
Yeah that wasn’t going to happen and you knew it. I was back online trying to wear myself out but that wasn’t helping instead reading about others trips just got me more wound up. So I resorted to playing the most boring movie and making sure I fell asleep to it! I want to say it was a drama but I’m not sure I just picked a Starz! Channel and turned it on. It worked and I was asleep.
Well I was only asleep about 4 hours when I woke up at 5:30am and knew that we still had plenty of time so I forced myself back asleep for at least another hour. This was proving to be difficult as I was still TOOOO excited to sleep
Well at 6:30am I finally caved in and got up mom was still sleeping that’s because she doesn’t get excited until we are checked in at the hotel I on the other hand get so excited that I end up stressing myself out with “what if’s, whoohoo’s, and Yipee’s”
So I got ready to go and checked the internet again just to fill the time as mom had finally gotten up and was also getting ready. I checked accueweather.com, weather.com, and the Orlando Sentinel’s website for the weather and then double checked our reservations online, and lurked on Passporter just to not get mom angry for “rushing” her.
While waiting for Mom to get ready I did make her coffee and helped her pack the last few items that had to be thrown into our suitcases. Well panic set in because we couldn’t find the keys to the luggage locks Finally after emptying 3 drawers, 12 key rings, and searching through 10 suitcases we finally found them in the 1st drawer we checked but obviously didn’t see
Crisis over we settled into loading up Mom’s car with the luggage and getting things moving. By now it was about 8:30 and we wanted to be on the road by 9:00 as we had some errands to run before getting to the airport. Well while loading the car I decided it would be best to get out the paperwork for the flights, and car rental so we wouldn’t have to dig later for them. It was a good thing I did because I realized at that point that I had FORGOTTEN to print out the coupon for Alamo! That would have been a very costly mistake on my part!
I ran inside and booted up my laptop, hooked the printer up, and printed the coupon so crisis was adverted again! Whew!
With everything printed, loaded into the car, and mom properly caffeinated we loaded up into both cars and headed out to split the errands up. Mom went to the post office to mail a return to HSN (I know the QVCnut shops at the competition too) and a “Cheer up” card for my Aunt Vi who is terminally ill with stomach cancer. I on the other hand ran to the bank for so last minute banking needs and to take out some extra Cash just in case we need it.
I met mom at the post office and waited about 30 minutes for her to finally come out and leave. Turns out that she was going back and forth to the car trying to decide if mailing the return would be better then sending it back UPS. She didn’t realize she was causing me to be anxious and nervous!
She finally came out and we were able to leave YAY!!!! She followed me up to my Friend Victoria’s house so I could leave my car at her place so that my father wouldn’t drive it while I was away. He drove mom’s a few trips ago and totaled her car after she told him NOT to drive it! So lessoned learned we hide my car and mom’s goes to the airport park and ride.

i'm the same way with sleeping, especially when in the world. disney world+getting sleep is not a good combination!! the sleep never happens! (is it sad that i wake up at 4 in the morning and automatically think 'there's no line for splash mountain right now!!')
