| We had the wonderful CM experience with our guide on the KTTK tour. It is very special when you can have that experience!! And isn't it funny how kids always pick the rides that we can do without as their favorites. My nephew does the same exact thing. (he's 6 but was 3 when we went). We definitely had alot of "Enough Already" rides!!

| Sounds like another great day!! Was your dinner at LeCellier? Sorry if you stated that somewhere-I didn't seem to pick it up. Guessing from what you had, though, it sounded like Luh Seyay!! I can't wait to eat there!! Hurry back with more please! |

| OMG, I am so not with it today! Yes, it was Le Cellier. I went back and added that to my TR. I guess I thought I had mentioned it earlier in the day's musings (which I had not). Thanks for pointing it out! |

| Days 9 and 10 At this point, I stopped taking notes. I think I was just tired. So I will just gloss over our last few days. On Sunday, we decided to head over to the MK. According to Touring Plans, this was a “worst day” for the park, but there was nowhere else that we could wrap up our trip. We had breakfast scheduled at ‘Ohana, so we headed there first. We took a bus to the MK, and then the monorail to the Poly. We were seated fairly quickly, and the breakfast was wonderful as usual. The only problem was that we must have just missed the characters. We ended up sitting and waiting for them after we were done eating. After breakfast, it was back on the monorail and over to the MK. We started with Buzz Lightyear, as usual, but there was a line. Not too long – maybe 15 minutes, but not the walk-on we had grown used to. We did a few things in Tomorrowland – I took Ethan on Stitch, etc. The line for Space Mountain was 40 minutes, and Ethan didn’t want to wait. We went on the Teacups. Then we decided to split up and meet back at the Haunted Mansion in a few hours. Ethan and I went on Goofy’s Barnstormer and did some shopping. We had something to drink, and the heat was so terrible, we really didn’t feel like doing anything. We went over to the Haunted Mansion to wait for Fred and Nicholas. When they caught up with us, Fred told us that they had gone on the Speedway, Peter Pan, etc. We decided to ride the Haunted Mansion. At that point, we had had enough. It was terribly hot and VERY crowded, compared to the rest of the week. We were seeing waits between 30 and 60 minutes. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t consider that bad, but after the rest of the week, it was terrible! We left the park and went back to the hotel for swimming and packing. We had dinner at the hotel, and I think we headed over to DTD for a while. The next day, I checked us out using Resort Airline Check In. I had forgotten to schedule us for a late check-out, and our DME bus wasn’t coming until 12:15, so when it was time to check out, I sat in the lobby with the carry on bags while Fred took the boys to the arcade. The machine that loads credits on the arcade cards was broken, so management decided to turn all the games that didn’t give prizes on for free play. The boys were ecstatic! When it was almost time for the DME bus to show up, we went out to the benches near baggage services. Our bus soon arrived, and we loaded up. After a stop at OKW, we were on our way to the airport. The “farewell” movie is very cute. Before we knew it, it was time to get off the bus. Once through security (no lines) we grabbed some pizza near our gate. We had a bathroom break, and it was time to board the plane. We were on our way home. So, we had a wonderful, magical trip. I always tell people on the boards to have a magical trip, but I didn’t know it would happen for us! We always enjoy our trips to WDW, but there really was something special about this one. We can’t wait to go back! We know that we may not get the dreams that we did on this trip, but even the little things were great! We did make a few decisions for our next trip. We are not going to do any breakfasts. We are not big breakfast people to begin with, and the time we spent eating would have been better used for touring. We want to save our table service meals for dinner, and use counter service for lunch. A quick breakfast in the room suited us just fine. When the airfare was released for our vacation days, I checked into flying out Saturday morning, returning Sunday morning. Airfare was really high. In order to get it lower, we would have to fly to Orlando Saturday night. Fred didn’t want to do that – it would feel like we were losing a whole day. Now of course, airfare is going to fluctuate, and we don’t plan on buying our tickets until March or so at the earliest, but trends tend to stay the same. So I checked flying into Orlando on Friday. It was much better. I called WDW and was able to add Friday night to the beginning of our package, just in case. When the time comes to purchase or airline tickets, I figure it will be better to have that day just in case. I can always take it off. We have already decided on our meals. I am a planner, what can I say? Keep in mind that Fred is strictly a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Preferably, steak and mashed potatoes. So some of these are a stretch.
If we start our package on Saturday instead of Friday, we will have to drop one of these. I am leaning towards Chef Mickey’s. I know a lot of people consider it a tradition, which is why I included it ( I haven’t been here since it was at DTD). However, I am not a big buffet fan – especially if the buffet is crowded and loud. I won’t return to Crystal Palace after a hectic breakfast experience there! We are doing H&V because Ethan wants it, and Boma because I don’t consider it a traditional buffet. So I think that about wraps it up. I am sure that the next trip will be upon us before we know it. And since it will probably be the last one for who knows how long, I want to make sure that we get everything that we can out of it! Thanks for sticking with me to the end. It’s really great to know that there are people out there who are almost as interested in my Disney adventures as I am! Last edited by jhoshowski : 11-04-2007 at 11:47 AM. |
