Hilarious. I laughed out loud at this one. Your kids are so cute. You really need to put a picture from this trip as your sig pic now, because comparing it to this one - no one looks like that anymore. . . . . Anyway, I totally agree with the others that you would never never know this is your first TR. Awesome job!!! When DH and I stayed at POFQ a couple years ago we really really loved it so I'm hopeful it will be the same with you guys. Keep it up!!!

| So, I am sitting here trying to read my notes from the trip. I thought that carrying around a little notebook and writing stuff down was a great idea, since I don’t have the best memory. However, making sure that it was LEGIBLE probably would have been a good idea. Well, let’s give it a try. . . We jumped on a bus and headed for MGM. We were walking in the gates by 4:30, which was less than two hours after our flight landed. Fred and Ethan were craving a ride on Star Tours, so we headed that way. Nicholas didn’t ride too much last time – he was only two. So Fred talked him into Star Tours. Nicholas kept asking “There isn’t Darth Vader, is there?” We would tell him no, and he would be okay, until a few minutes later when he would ask again. We walked right on the ride and ended up in the front row. Afterwards, Nicholas said that it was okay, but he didn’t want to go again. Ethan, lover of all things Star Wars, loved it as usual. He picked up a Vader wristband in Tatooine Traders later that evening. We decided to grab dinner at Pizza Planet. I have never eaten here before and was a bit apprehensive, having heard that pizza at WDW is not too good. Somehow, I have never had it! Since there is not a kid’s menu here, Ethan and I got the salad/pizza combos, and Fred and Nicholas got just pizza. The guys got cookies for dessert and I got a rice krispie treat. Fred noticed the total when our food was rung up – over $47.00 He goes “And that is all covered on the free dining plan?!” “Yep,” I answered, a bit smugly, “one counter service meal for each of us.” He proceeded to note that the dining plan is a great deal, even if you were to pay for it, which I agreed with. We would have this conversation several times over the course of our trip. The pizza was actually pretty good. No complaints here! After we ate, the boys wanted, of course, to play in the arcade. Take them 1000 miles on vacation, and all they want to do is play video games. We gave them each a few dollars, and by the time they blew through it, the rain had stopped. The boys wanted to trade pins with a CM, who was kind enough to note that Nicholas was still wearing part of his dinner on his face – thanks. Next we took in a showing of Muppet Vision (no line again), and then crossed the park, as Ethan wanted to score a trip on Tower of Terror. We arranged with the CM for a kid swap, and Ethan and I waited about 15 minutes in line. It was awesome as always! We met up with Fred and Nicholas in the gift shop, and Fred and Ethan were able to head through the Fast Pass line. We got some PhotoPass pictures taken and decided to go back to the hotel so that I could get us unpacked. After finding the bus stop (they dropped us off in a different spot when we arrived), we headed back to POFQ. We stopped in the food court to get some refillable mugs and snacks. With our snack credits, I picked up a box of doughnuts, a quart of milk, and a couple of full-size bags of chips. By this time, Fred had stars in his eyes. The dining plan had made a believer out of him. He he he. . .When we got back to the room, our luggage was not there yet. I called bell services and was told that it was already on it’s way, and not more then 30 seconds later, they were knocking on the door. Fred and Ethan decided to give the pool a try. Nicholas, on the other hand, wanted a bath and some down time. Within a few hours, we were all ready for bed. We wanted to get an early start at the Animal Kingdom the next day. Up next. . .and the line is where??? |
