| Well you made a beleiver out of Fred with the dining plan....should have no resistance if you ever had to pay for it...lol Trip sounds great so far...glad the kid sap works well becuase I already know that we will have to use a few...(unless the little DD decides that she is ready for the plunge...lol) Funny thing is she is not scared of drops and turns...it is the dark that she hates...she loved Space Mountain except that she never wants to ride it until they turn the lights on... |

| Great update! I am glad that Fred has "seen the light" with the DDP! I have been amazed by how much money we've saved with it! (And even more when it was free, of course.

| Great trip report so far!!! We absolutely loved the dining plan...it was free and well worth it. We tolled our bill everyday and could not believe how we made out like bandits. I think for 5 days food my bill total was nearly 400 dollars!!! and it was FREE woooo. We have eaten at the pizza place a few times and thought the pizza was great, glad it wasnt a disappointment Your children are really adorable and i just love the last picture. I would have wanted a bath and down time too!!! Cant wait to hear more!!

| Day 2 – AK/DTD The next morning Stitch and Mickey gave us a call at 8:00. We jumped out of bed and got dressed, brushed teeth and hair, and grabbed a doughnut and some milk. We were at the bus stop by 8:30. The wait was a short one, and we were soon on the bus. The ONLY ONES on the bus. Our driver went to the first stop at POR. No one got on the bus there, either. We didn’t go to the other three POR stops, but headed straight for the AK. So we were the only family on the bus. Kind of neat! We got to AK, stopped for a minute to check out Wes Palm, and then went to the gates. We were quickly through and got a stroller. We proceeded to Discovery Island, where the crowds were waiting for the opening ceremony. We got some PhotoPass pictures taken. We headed for Expedition Everest after the opening ceremony. We asked a CM about doing kid swap, and Ethan and I headed into line. . .we thought. We kept walking, and walking, and walking. . . right onto the platform. The ride was awesome. I was told that it was similar to BTMRR, but honestly, I thought it was WAY better. Not RnRC, but definitely a bit of a thrill. We met up with Fred and Nicholas in the gift shop (are you seeing a trend here?) and Fred and Ethan were off. We had several rides on Triceratop Spin, which Nicholas loves, and Ethan and I managed to squeeze in Primeval Whirl, before it was time for our 10:00 AM breakfast at Donald’s Breakfastosaurus. Fred really liked this breakfast the last time we were at WDW and he wanted to do it again. We were in a room off to the side, and it felt like the characters took forever to get to us. Additionally, our waitress was kind of “blah”. Not bad, just making a minimal effort. The food was as tasty as ever, though. I loved the hash browns – they had a kick to them! We headed over to see the new Nemo show. It was really cute – Fred really liked it as well. It seems that the “pre-show entertainment” consists of projecting Nemo swimming across different sized plastic bubbles on either side of the stage. He appears randomly, and the kids get great joy out of spotting him, pointing, and screaming “Nemo!”. This got old quickly! After the show we headed back over to Dinoland for more Triceratop Spin and Primeval Whirl. We also went on Dinosaur, a new one for Fred and the boys. Yet another ride that Nicholas claims he does NOT want to do again! I wanted to see the Festival of the Lion King show – we have never done it before! So we headed over to Camp Minnie-Mickey. By this time Ethan was miserable and complaining about the heat. We got into the building and found ourselves to be elephants. I LOVED this show. I think Fred and the boys liked it, but maybe not as much as Nemo. I thought all of the performers were very talented. I especially liked the gentleman who sang “Be Prepared” – his voice was phenomenal!! We decided to hit the Safari next. As with everything else so far, we waited about five minutes (we were loving the low crowds). As it was 95 in the shade by this point, I didn’t expect to see many animals. Boy, was I wrong!! I have NEVER seen this many animals on the Safari before. They were all over the place, right up next to the road – and in the case of a friendly giraffe, right on it!! He walked in front of us for a while, and then moved to the side and continued along next to us. He finally stopped walking to “do some business”. Right next to us. I am sure giraffe poop doesn’t ever smell very good, but keep in mind that it was 95 in the shade. Blech! I wish I had pictures, but I just plain forgot. The boys wanted to go on Kali River Rapids. As we expected to be heading back to the hotel soon, I agreed. We rode it and didn’t get too wet. To my surprise, Nicholas loved it! He and Ethan wanted to go again. This time, we got soaked – Nicholas in particular. Fred and Ethan went again – this no lines thing is great! – and Nicholas and I sat it out. We hit Expedition Everest again – still no lines – as well as Triceratop Spin. We finally decided to head back to the hotel, since it was looking like rain. When we got back to the hotel, we changed and we decided to grab dinner in the food court. Afterwards, Fred took the boys swimming for a while, and then we took the boat to DTD. This was a great way to get there and I highly recommend it! There was never a line, and it was a peaceful, enjoyable trip. At Once Upon A Toy, Nicholas built his own lightsaber, and Ethan (who has around eight lightsabers or so) bought a Transformer toy. We were back to the hotel by 10:15. Up next. . .What is this, a PrincessSharon trip report? Last edited by jhoshowski : 09-27-2007 at 01:12 PM. |

| What a great day! I love the photo of Nicholas "holding" baby Simba. So cute! And I am so jealous of you being able to ride everything with no lines! How awesome is that?? I am glad you liked FOTLK. It is one of my favorites, but alas, my boys don't love it as much as I do. Looking forward to your next installment!

| What an awesome day at AK, I can't believe you walked on all those rides! I love your photopass pics too. That was the one thing I was disappointed in with photopass, we saw very few photographers at AK, then our pics in front of the tree never showed up and the ones in front of EE were blurry.
