| Sounds like an awesome day at AK, despite the heat! Glad you were able to experience so many of the rides there. The boat to DTD is definitely a great way to go back and forth. danielle

| Day 3 – Epcot We were moving a bit slow this morning. By the time we got ready, had a quick breakfast (doughnuts again, yum), and got on a bus, it was 9:45 AM when we arrived at Epcot. We grabbed a stroller and got a few PhotoPass pictures, then headed to Soarin’ to get fastpasses. Our return time was from 11:00 – 12:00. We rode Test Track – walk on, sweet! Nicholas, once again, didn’t want to do it again. I guess I can take comfort in the fact that he never CRIED on any of these rides. So I guess we didn’t scar him for life. Fred and Ethan wanted to ride Mission Space (orange) so Nicholas and I amused ourselves sending funny space postcards to family members. We decided to grab lunch at Electric Umbrella. We really like this CS – nothing fancy, but good food. We had an older gentleman take our order, and all I can say is who the heck hired him? 99.9% of the CMs I have encountered at WDW are so kind and happy. He is the other .1%. He never cracked a smile, and spent the whole time he was ringing me up complaining about how much he hates the DDP. Now, #1 – I had our order written down, clear, concise, and correct. #2 – there was NO ONE in line. Literally. So I am not sure what he had to complain about?! We picked a seat by the window, and the Jammitors started playing a few minutes later. The kids really enjoyed their lunchtime entertainment. Our Soarin’ fastpasses were reaching the end of their window, so we started the trek to the Land. At this point, Nicholas put his foot down. He was NOT going on this ride. I tried to explain what it was like, and that I was sure that he would enjoy it, but he wasn’t having any part of it. So Ethan and I used our fastpasses, then Fred and Ethan went again (Ethan used Nicholas’ fastpass). We strong-armed Nicholas onto JIYI next (ha ha). He actually really enjoyed it. He asked what was the name of the purple guy, and I told him Figment. Remember this for later!! We headed up to Figment’s Place and found him at home for some pictures. We decided to do the Disney Visa picture. We got there at around 1:20 PM, and there were two families in front of us. We got to the front of the line, and as we were waiting the astronauts all walked by (there for the ceremonies they had that day). We were finally let into the room. We got to see Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. If you have the opportunity to do this, I highly recommend it. The kids had lots of great interaction with the characters. And then, I had to giggle (and think about PrincessSharon). Minnie and Goofy were off to the side, dancing. Mickey caught them, and was shaking his finger at them. So don’t worry Sharon, he is on to them!! This is getting long, so I will continue below. . . Last edited by jhoshowski : 10-30-2007 at 11:39 AM. |

| Nicholas was begging for a ride on the monorail, so we decided to do the loop to the MK and back. We figured it would be a nice break from the heat. I asked about riding in the front cab with the driver, and they were able to accommodate us. When we got to the MK, we moved into the car behind the cab to give another family a chance to ride in the front. The boys got a co-pilot license from the driver. It is amazing how much they enjoyed the miscellaneous papers like this that they received throughout the week. They had gotten a safety card from the bus driver on the way back from the AK, also. They kept these and brought them home. We got off the monorail and made our way back into the park. At this point, I realized that I had dropped Nicholas’ Future World KidCot badge!! We couldn’t find it, and of course, the boys only had one stop left to do, so I ended up running around getting him a new one. We went to the Seas and rode the new clammobiles. They were cute. The boys looked at the aquarium for a while, but they were not interested in doing Turtle Talk. So we walked over to Guest Relations with their completed badges, where they were awarded with a picture of the characters and a “Citizen of Walt Disney World” button. We went to Mouse Gears and picked up some Halloween shirts for the boys to wear to MNSSHP on Friday. It was almost time for our ADR at Coral Reef, so we walked over. After checking in, we headed towards the entrance to the dining room and found a place to stand. Idly looking around, I though ‘hmm. . .that looks like Scout. And that would be Jay holding her, and mom, and John, and Suzie (Suzie&Jay) with her back to me.’ Looks right. So I said “Suzie” in the voice – you know the one – loud enough to work, but quiet enough that you can pretend it wasn’t you if you were wrong! But it was Suzie. We had a second to make introductions, and then she was off to her table. She managed to get a picture later, so it is in her TR if you would like to see. Speaking of pictures in Suzie’s TR, I noticed something funky at Coral Reef (she has the evidence). A lot of the waiters there look, well, the same. Same haircut, same glasses. . .like some kind of cult or something?! I saw at least 3 or 4 of them, which I found disturbing. Anyway, I was really looking forward to this dinner. I wanted it to be great, but I had heard mixed reviews. Honestly, everything was delicious!! I had the Lobster Bisque followed by the Mahi Mahi, and the Chocolate Wave for dessert. Fred had steak and the boys had pizza and macaroni and cheese. My chocolate wave came with three brandied cherries on it. I ate one – whoa. Fred ate one. Then Ethan asked for the last one. We looked at each other, shrugged and let him have it! We were all feeling good for a while! I would like to add here that if you see more of Nicholas in my pictures, it is because Ethan is in that "I don't want my picture taken" stage. Back to the TR. . . When we came out of the restaurant, it was pouring rain. We stood around for a while before we decided that it wasn’t going to stop. So we put on our ponchos. It is a good think that Nicholas had a stroller – his was HUGE on him! He would have tripped for sure. We headed to the bus stop. Ethan and I were giggling (must have been those cherries). When we got back to POFQ, Fred took the boys to the arcade for a little while. We turned in by 10:00 PM. Up next. . .Our (first) dream comes true. . .
