| Okay I really need to know your secret to obtaining these Dream Fastpasses. We saw so many people with them when we went and we got squat!!! I am super jealous about you getting the bounceback, too. It really makes me regret not trying for the free dining

| I am not sure how I missed your TR up to this point but it is great. I got a kick out of Nicholas and all his rides that he doesn't want to ride on ever again! I just read the whole thing start to finish and there were times I had tears in my eyes from laughing and thinking how my kids would have done the same things as yours... Hurry back with more!Larry

| Great updates Jennifer. We loved MNSSHP as well. Your parade pics came out great. Ours didn't come out as well as I would have liked. I am bummed when I asked if we could check in on the 27th for the bounce back...I was told it would be our only day of free dining if we did so. I really wanted to come that Saturday 27th to the next Saturday. Oh well. So we will be there the 20th through the 27th. Just shows you each CM has different info.

| Sounds like a wonderful trip so far, Jennifer. Sorry it rained at MNSSHP but it doesn't sound as if it put to much of a dampener on your evening. And congratulations on those dream fastpasses.

| Day 8 – Epcot This morning we woke up and decided to have breakfast at the food court, since our lunch ADR wasn’t until 1 PM. After breakfast, we headed over to Epcot. Nicholas insisted that he wanted to go see “Pigment”. Those of you who read Princess Sharon’s trip reports will know why this set me off laughing. Fred just thinks I am crazy! We did another meet and greet with Figment, and rode the JIYI ride again. For some reason, Nicholas really loves it. I tend to find it ho-hum. Somewhat pleasant, but that’s about it. We worked our way around WS, starting with Mexico. Nicholas LOVED the Gran Fiesta Tour. In fact, Ethan wanted to head over and start his mask, but Nicholas insisted on doing the boat ride again. So I took Ethan, and Fred took Nicholas. In a few minutes, they were back (no lines as usual!) and Nicholas started his mask. We sent some funny “live” postcards to my mom, and continued around WS. Our lunch ADR was at Biergarten. I had made it for 1 PM – which is late for us – because I thought the boys would enjoy the live entertainment, which didn’t start until 1:15 PM. We were seated fairly quickly. The food was okay. There were a few things that really stood out. I loved the potato leek soup, and the cabbage. Ethan had seconds, make that thirds, of the salmon. But Fred and Nicholas were kind of picking at the offerings. Fred and I did have a nice big beverage. Thanks to that, when Nicholas wanted to go down and dance, I didn’t argue too much. Of course, once we got down there, he didn’t do too much dancing. I think Biergarten is worth a visit, if only for the entertainment. The food was okay; some of it better than okay. We rode Maelstrom in Norway. On the way out, the boys saw foam swords in the gift shop (we saw these several places in WS). They wanted to buy them, so I gave them the go ahead. Once outside Norway, they found a little spot near the lagoon, and started blowing off some steam, swordfighting. That was one of the wonderful things about the low crowds – they actually had room to have fun and run around. A CM on a Segway pulled up and told the boys that since they were pirates, they needed pirate stickers. He then gave them some pirate Mickey stickers. This is one of the things I love about WDW – the fact that a CM, on his way somewhere, would stop to talk to my boys and make their day by giving them stickers. It is one of the things that keeps me coming back. We continued around the WS, stopping for an ice cream near Morocco. At the International Gateway, we ran into some characters and got some pictures. A new one (for us, anyway) was Jane. She asked Fred if he wanted a picture with her, and he turned to me and whispered “Who IS that?” After I explained, he headed over for a photo. We went into the toy store in the UK and found a meet and greet with Pooh near the KidCot stop. We caught a few minutes of the British Invasion. We still had some time until our dinner ADR at Le Cellier, so Nicholas asked to ride JIYI again. Ugghh, enough, already! After the ride and some shopping, I headed up to the podium to check us in. There was a young couple in front of me, maybe early 20s. I am guessing honeymooning. The guy asked if there was anything available for dinner. The CM said she was sorry, but they were all booked up. He said, well, if I had come over here this morning, could I have gotten something? She said no, I am sorry, we have been booked up. He got really irate, and said “So what, you are telling me I had to book this a few DAYS ago?!?” the CM was just shaking her head. She managed to get out “no, longer than that.” I was dying laughing, rolling my eyes at her. Do your research, people!! We were seated within about 10 minutes. Patrick was our server. Now, as you probably have noticed, I don’t tend to remember too many names. So the fact that I did should tell you how WONDERFUL Patrick was. He explained everything to us, including telling Fred the history of his beer and the meaning of the picture on the label. When the boys got rambunctious, Patrick told them they had to have their shoulders to the back of the booth, or no dessert. He kept sneaking up on them and giving them the “I see you look”, which had them hysterical with laughter. Believe me, by the time I added a little extra to the included tip, Patrick was pushing 30% - he deserved it! The food was very good. The steak was melt-in-your mouth delicious. This is one restaurant from this trip that Fred has put on the must do list for next year. He had the barbecue filet, and I had the mushroom filet. Although the steak was delicous, I wasn’t too thrilled with the risotto (even though I love mushrooms). Next time, I think I will try something else. But as I said, the steak itself was delicious, and I am looking forward to returning! After dinner, we headed back to the hotel. I have to be honest – at this point, I seem to have stopped taking notes! So I will have one more quick update after this, from memory. It will include our last two days and my “wrap up”. More soon. . . Last edited by jhoshowski : 10-30-2007 at 01:09 PM. |
