| 11 October – Our Second Day DSC02272.jpg Early Morning Hours at Magic Kingdom, so we headed to Tomorrowland and Space Mountain, but unfortunately SM was having technical outer space difficulties, so we turned around and headed to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, we so love this ride. I got 33,800 points, Grumpy got 88,000 we were both Rangers First Class. Space Mountain was still closed for technical outer space difficulties, so we headed to Indy Speedway, we both got our own cars, and the couple in front of me were Newlyweds and the CM put a Just Married sign on their car and on my car they put a Happy Birthday sign, I will have to post the picture later, Grumpy took it with his camera from the car behind me. We headed back to Space Mountain, it was up and running and we walked right on, WAHOOO ![]() Then we headed over to Fantasyland, we rode Peter Pan, It’s a Small World, with no waits what so ever. Haunted Mansion was next and boy did we love the new additions, they are great. Then we headed over to Adventureland and to ride Pirates, we saw the end of Cap’n Jack Pirate Tutorial and we only had to wait 20 mins for the ride. Well we were starving by then so we headed to Pecos Bill’s, Grumpy and I split the 1/4-Pound Cheeseburger - served with your choice of fries or apple slices $5.89; the burger and fries, but Grumpy loaded up the burger with tomatoes/lettuce/onions/mushrooms. We chatted with a young couple from Florida who had just gotten engaged the night before at Narcoossee’s. DSC02311.jpg Pecos Bill’s another great place with a great fixings bar ![]() Well we headed back towards ToonTown, we passed on Splash Mountain for 2 reasons: 1) I didn’t want to get wet because of my scratchy throat and 2) the wait was 80 minutes ![]() So off we went to ToonTown to ride Barnstormer, but we passed on Barnstormer and rode the Train all the way around the Magic Kingdom, another first for us. We saw an alligator in the canal near the alligators and the frog display. DSC02316.jpg After we got off at ToonTown we chatted with the Train Engineer, he told us about the Train Tour you can take of the Roundhouse and all the Disney trains, it is a 3 hour tour. We took the walkway from the train to Tomorrowland to Main Street, Grumpy was in need of an Ice Cream. So in we went to the Ice Cream Shoppe, one of the CM’s said Happy Birthday to me, Grumpy ordered his usual Chocolate Ice Cream Cone, and I ordered a scoop of Pumpkin. Well they gave Grumpy his cone and I am standing there waiting, thinking what is taking so long, all I want is a scoop of pumpkin The CM named Joe turns around and hands me this:DSC02326.jpg A huge waffle cone with sprinkle and chocolate, Mickey Mouse Chocolate ears, whip cream and a cherry on top, I was totally caught off guard and very surprised, I am all verclempt…..talk amongst yourselves…… DSC02327.jpg Grumpy had to help me eat it, it was huge and I never eat that much Ice Cream, but the Pumpkin Ice Cream was delish. We sat outside, were we saw the Mayor and his gang, they all wished me Happy Birthday. After devouring the Ice cream, we went and found a shady spot so that I could write out a few post cards. We wandered thru the Emporium, stopped in Town Hall and mailed my Post cards and then had our Photos taken out front with all the pumpkins and the Train Station. We caught the monorail back to the Poly and walked back to SoG, I was in need of a nap. After our naps and a shower, I downloaded the photos onto my laptop, we went down for dinner at Evergreens the sports pub at Shades of Green. We walked the 15 minutes back to the TTC and caught the monorail to Epcot for our first evening at the Food & Wine Festival.

| DSC02351.jpg We stopped at the Turkey Booth, since Grumpy spent a year in Turkey when he first joined the USAF and he ordered the Monti(little beef raviolis with a yogurt butter sauce) DSC02352.jpg only one left who ate the other DSC02353.jpg Pistachio Baklava and the paired wine, but I did not get the name of the wine but it was all delish. Grumpy spoke Turkish to the girl in the booth that was Turkish and she was shocked the he could speak Turkish. We continued our slow walk around the world, we stopped at the America Gardens Theater and watched Starship with Mickey Thomas. Boy that theater was packed. We were able to find two seats on the end. Next stop was Morocco to listen to Mo’rockin. Grumpy enjoyed the bellydancer go figure, . We stopped at the Beers of The World booth and got a LaBatt Blue Beer, then we stopped at the Canadian booth for a cup of Cheddar Cheese Soup and another LaBatt Blue. No Off Kilter tonight no picture of the salad, especially with the LaBatt Blue Beer. ![]() We headed towards Mousegears to do a little shopping, and we sat in front(or the back) of the Innoventions fountain facing WS and watched Illuminations. Great view and no crowds and then we beat the crowd to the monorail after Illuminations. Today’s Weather: Wonderful, Sunny, warm The best thing today was: My Surprise Birthday Ice Cream The worst thing today was: My scratchy throat The funniest thing today was: The Happy Birthday Sign on my Indy Race Car Today we tried: The Food & Wine Festival ![]() Up Next – MGM and Dinner at Le Cellier

| WOW ! What a day and great icecream treat. Don't believe I could eat all of that one. I agree with you. Back to the resort and a nap. The walk helped with the icecream I'm sure.
