What a trooper Kaity is!!! Sounds like B&C was a lot of fun - that was a lot of ice cream! Sorry your trip is almost over. Sounds like you have quite a few trips to look forward to though.

How that you were able to meet Art! That kitchen sink looks like a whole lot of ice cream!! Each trip we intend to make it over to B&C, but we've never managed it! We have GOT to go next time! Can't wait to hear more

It was another gorgeous day in Orlando, but I woke up very sad because we were leaving today. We packed up our things, and then we took a final stroll over to OPR to do a little last-minute shopping. We had decided that we would drive back over to WL to get that charm for Kaity’s new bracelet this morning, and we wanted to catch the geyser (we hadn’t had a chance to see it when we stayed there earlier in the week).
We packed up the car, and headed to WL. I was very sad to leave CBR, but at the same time, I was surprised at how much I was looking forward to seeing WL again! Even though that had not been our resort of choice, I really fell in love with it.

At WL, we wandered through the gift shop one last time, making Kaity’s purchase. We walked down to Roaring Fork to pick up breakfast to take in the car. Roaring Fork was a madhouse at 9:30am! We got our food by 9:55am - just in time to wander out to the pool, and see the geyser erupting.

We took our purchases and our food out to the car, and set out on the drive to Sanibel Island. Bye, WDW!

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Weather: It was very humid in the beginning of the week. It only rained once – our first afternoon at AK. I had purchased ponchos before we left home. Of course, DD couldn’t find hers (it was in the suitcase ) We ducked in a store and I bought her a new one. Literally 30 seconds after we walked out of the store, her new poncho safely ensconced around her, it stopped raining. And never rained again the entire rest of the trip. The rest of the week was gorgeous, very low humidity. Blue skies, very few clouds…this is the reason that I love to come to Florida in October!

Lots of love bugs out, and they were grody. This is the first time that I have ever encountered them, and I don’t like them.

We tried a lot of new things this time around. I am absolutely a believer, and will never stay offsite again. Staying onsite is definitely the way to go! Le Cellier is a must do. MMM tour is wonderful! I highly recommend it, if you are even considering it. Hallowishes at MNSSHP was AMAZING. Next year, I will purchase tickets for at least 2 nights – there is too much to do to fit it all in in one night!

After all that planning, I can’t believe it’s over! Well, that just means one thing – I need to get busy, planning my trip for October 2008!

Since the Sanibel part of our trip is not Disney, I am going to do a short TR about our weekend there and post it in the Globetrotting section.
Thank you for all of your kind comments, and for reading!

I'm very sad to see this trip report end - it's been wonderful. When are you going in October 2008? That's when we plan to go again after December - perhaps we'll see you there?

What a wonderful trip....your Kitchen Sink looked to be an appropirate dinner...lol and very delicious, glad Katy was feeling better enough to walk around and enjoy your last day there...

I love the charm bracelets....my daughter got once on her last trip (gave it to her on the plane going home) with Tink and she can't wait to get some more charms when we go back...

Great report and thanks for sharing...

My tentative plans would see us arriving at Disney late on 17 October, so maybe our paths will cross.

Amy! I just caught up with your entire trip! What an absolutely magical trip with Kaity!

I'm so sorry that she was sick for some of the trip, but she was such a trooper! We loved MNSSHP too and felt that it was hard to pack it all into one night also. Mary Devall absolutely loved the mention of her name in your tr. I had to read it to her several times.

I can't wait for your next trip! It will be here before you know it.

I'm so that you got to meet Art! My kids and I met him in January, and I got all of their photos taken with him (even DH!) but of course, being the photographer, I didn't get MINE taken. I really wanted to see him in September, but he wasn't on duty the day we went to B & C. We met another great CM, instead, but it wasn't the same!

Sorry your TR is over; can't wait to read the next one because I know it will be filled with PICTURES!
