| Sunday January 13th 2008 After a very solid night of sleep we were awake and ready for our first full day at the park! I think it was 10am by the time we got to Magic Kingdom, it was pretty warm and a little cloudy. We really wanted to spend the day hitting up our old favorites so after two times through the Haunted Mansion (I still have the warnings in Spanish stuck in my head “Manos, brazos, pies, y piernas”) we decided to head to Tom Sawyer Island. After our boat arrived we hung back a little so we could explore everywhere on our own. After checking out the caves (this is the first time I had the guts to go into them) we headed over to Huck’s landing. During our walk in started to rain, once we got under the roof it started to poor and finally it began to hail! We were the only ones around and we just pulled two big rocking chairs next to each other and sat there and enjoyed our own private hail storm. Maybe about 10 minutes after it started everything stopped so we headed back to the mainland to get some lunch. We decided on Columbia Harbour House and absolutely loved it! We had a nice quite table upstairs by the window. We both got Captains Specials (chicken strips and fish sticks with fries), I had the chocolate cake, and Roger had the apple crisp. The fish was so delicious and the fries were huge. After lunch we were still a bit wet from the rain and decided to head back to Pop for a while before our 6:10 dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. It was nice that we got to spend a little time exploring our resort and checking out the gift shop. We made it back to MK for our dinner and were seated shortly after arrival. I wasn’t feeling that well but the food I ate was pretty good. This was our first non-talking character meal and honestly it just wasn’t for us. We will definitely go again when we have children but for the time being I think we will stick with the princess meals since we can have more interaction with them. Because it was our honeymoon they brought us out a chocolate cupcake in addition to the apple dessert. We decided kind of last minute to watch Wishes start to finish from the front of the castle, another first. Last trip we just would watch snippets as we went from ride to ride. I cannot lie I definitely cried, it was so good and so magically. I ended up buying the soundtrack later in the trip. I think we spent the rest of the night going on more of our favorites before heading back to Pop taking a very quick swim and going to sleep. |

| What a perfect place to watch a hail storm, on the front porch of MK. Sounds perfect to me. Thanks for sharing your update.

| HAIL??? You had HAIL??? Wow, kudos to you for taking it in stride. I absolutely LOOOVE those kind of fries you have in the picture, not too fat, not too skinny, crispy on the outside and potatoey in the middle. I call them carnival fries because those are the ones they have there. Yum! How was the food at Liberty Tree Tavern?
