| We arrived back at the PoP century and all went to the Food Court to get us drinks in our mugs. We all sat in a booth (which we designated "our booth "because we always sat in it). My feet at this point were killlllling me! So I went to the gift store to look for some tennis shoes but in the end I decided to buy some pink Disney crocs…  These Crocs saved the last day of my trip! They were super comfy! After I made this purchase we all went to the room and rested for tonites party them… …the best thing about tonites party is that Kaia, Ben, and I were wearing our PJ’s so we put them on and took naps in them.  After about an hour and a half of resting and watching TV …we were all up and ready to go. Mallory was not feeling all the way better from earlier in the day but she wasn’t let it get her down…. We all started to goof off in the room as we got ready… Mallory decided to stuff everything she could into her pockets or hold in her hands…we laughed so much…  The Kaia got a hold of my sunglasses and of course wanted a rock start photo shoot…   Kaia Richard Nixon Pose   After all the silliness we were off… Did I mention my crocs where Heaven sent! And Cute Too! We all hopped on the bus to MK…Ben and I where wearing matching PJ bottoms and our t-shirts were Mickey Mouse Club T-shirts that I had made on Zazzle…on the back it said 1028 (the day we got married). Kaia wore the cute Halloween PJ’s we got her from Target very cute. Mallory didn’t want to dress up tonite…but she did wear her golden ears! A couple on our bus were dressed as skunks they were home made costume and were really great everyone on the bus got a kick out of them. When we arrived I could already tell it was going to be a less crowded night then on Friday..yippy!      As we entered Main Street the first thing I saw where Suzy and Perla …there was a short line and Ben knew these were two character I had been dying to get my picture with for years so we got in line ..of course as soon as we got o the line they went on a break but promised to be back in 10 minutes… I told Ben I was waiting …he was fine with it. Ben took Kaia to find the Paw Prints from Lady and the Tramp in front of Tony’s Town Square…she was really excited about this.   In less then 10 minutes Suzy and Perla were back and we all got our pictures taken.    As we walked down Main Street I could tell Mallory was really not feeling that great…she said she had a headache so Ben went to the Emporium to get some medicine for her and we headed down Main Street. After a miscommunication with Ben about were to meet us and 30 minutes later…we were all together in front of the castle…ready to get going.    Mallory bought a water and took her medicine and we were all of to Fantasyland… I checked the time as we walked to fantasyland it was 6:40 PM and we had a 7:45 dinner reservation at LTT. I told everyone about when dinner was a I heard a lot of groans..b/c it was going to cut in with our touring as well as the fact that none of us were hungry at all. So I got on the phone and canceled our reservation and was able to schedule a breakfast tomorrow morning at Boma with our lest over Dining plan credits…yeah me! Everyone liked the new plan! We entered Fantasyland and decided to ride the carousel…this was an easy pick b/c there was no line at all.    Next up was Snow Whites Scary Adventure I skipped it to find a bathroom… but Kaia, Mallory ,and Ben went and said the scary adventure is still scary. Next up Phillarmagic one of my absolute favorites!   Kaia loved this show! I watched her reaction to everything (this was the first 3d show she had ever seen) at first she took off her glasses kind of startled by things popping out at her but then she put them back on and enjoyed the rest of the show. After Phillarmagic it was off to Kaias favorite ride from her previous day trip this summer….IASW. Mallory had never rode this ride before. The best part about the ride for me was the Cast Member in Pinocchio’s Haus who was drawing on ghosts and pumpkins on the glass as we passed by…..so cool!  Once we were done with Fantasyland it was off to Kaias last pin worthy attraction the Haunted Mansion! Next Up Can Kaia Conquer her FEAR?

| Before we left home Kaia let us all know that she was NOT going to ride the Haunted Mansion! It was just one of those things she was super scared of. But here we were walking from fantasyland into Liberty Square and she was ready to try it (for a pin that is).  We got in line and it was really spooky and one of the ghosts a older woman was sitting up on the lawn of the haunted mansion and talking to us as we went but…mostly just telling all the ladies we looked fabulous and all the men they were so very handsome…it was way cool. After this we were all moved inside and into the stretching room…this part scared Kaia but she just kept her eyes closed . It was time for us to board our doom buggies….Kaia decided to ride with Ben so Mallory and I boarded our buggy together. The changes to this ride where really great and it was scarier than I remembered it…  We exited and Kaia said it was scary but that next trip she would defiantly ride it again… As we made our way out the lady ghost from the lawn earlier was making her way through the crowd into liberty Square…but she stopped us and told us hello remembering us from the line earlier…she told Mallory she looked like Paris Hilton is prison b/c Mallory was wearing a pink and white striped dress…lol. Next we headed to Adventure land so we could ride POTC…a first for Mal and Kaia. We cruised through Frontierland to get there and I spotted Jessie from Toy Story 2 there was no line so Kaia and Mallory went to get a picture taken…   We arrived in Adventureland and many characters were out Jasmine and Aladdin and Captain Hook and Mr. Smee…We go in line for Jasmine and Aladdin but were told they would be leaving soon for the parade but that genie and Abu were coming out… Kaia decided to skip this…her and Mallory went run to the restroom and we all met up in front of POTC.  We all enjoyed POTC…especially Mallory on her first time…she really thought it was so neat how Captain Jack Sparrow looked so life like. We hung out in the store for a bit….  and then we attempted to make our way to Frontierland…no luck the parade was passing so we all went into Pecos Bills to wait for the parade to pass by. Mallory had saw a shirt back at the POTC gift shop that she really wanted so she counted her money and wanted to go back and buy it and Kaia who of course finds something in every gift shop that she wants…really wanted to buy a bag of jewels…for $7. I gave Kaia her final money from her grandparents $10 and sent her on her way with Mallory while Ben and I enjoyed a soda and some alone time.  After Mallory and Kaia returned we were all off to Froniterland as the parade had ended…we all rode Splash Mountain 2 or three times followed by BTMR two or three times…fun time had by all Kaia even started opening her eyes fro the big drop on Splash Mountain. Next up was the long trek to Tommorowlnad for some Space Mountain time…at this point it was about 9:30 and everyone was hungry…we stopped in at Pinocchio’s Haus and had pizzas two veggies one cheese and one pepperoni…they we just OK to me but hit the spot…Kaia was impressed that from Pinocchio’s Haus we could overlook IAWS. After we were all full we made our way to Space Mountain. I was not feeling up to riding b/c I had just ate but I sent everyone else on there way.I sat on a bench and enjoyed looking at all the families in costume the best was a family of 5 dressed as Mary Poppins (mother) Bert(father) Jane and Michael (2 of the kids) and a chimney sweep (the older son)…there costumes were amazing and people kept stopping them left andf right to take pictures of them. My gang returned from Space Mountain and Mallory looked a little ill and did not want to ride again…so I suggested we do Buzz Light Year and call it a night. We all rode Buzz which really didn’t help Mallory headache/grumpiness at all…but Kaia loved it! Ben and Kaia really wanted to ride Space Mountain once more so I told them to go ahead while Mallory and I walk to the front of the park…we would meet in front of Tony’s Town Square.  Mallory and I took a leisurely stroll down main street and I stopped and got me and ice cream at the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor …yummy mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone. We made our way down a very uncrowded Main Street to Tony Town Square and had a seat on the stoop… I went in search for a restroom and then after that I ran into City Hall to get Kaia a First Visit Button ( I know a little to late but it makes a good keepsake) About 10 minutes after sitting down the most wonderful thing happened in my opinion …the parade started and we had a unobstructed view…I was able to see the whole parade and eat my ice cream it was great…b/c I never really got to see the whole BOO TO YOU parade with out people in front of me. (To Bad Ben had the camera) I waved to all the characters and sang along to the songs…Mallory was not that impressed but I really could care less…I knew she was just really tired and getting grumpier by the second. About 10 minutes after the parade finished up Kaia and Ben showed up (after riding Space Mountain 3 more times ).We all sat together letting the hoards of people empty the park…of course Mallory wanted to join them but we were not getting stuck in that mess. I gave Kaia her 1rst visit button and of course she wanted to do a photo shoot again…    The picture below is my absolute favorite of Kai from the trip...it show the Disney Happy Smile! After a great night at MK! I love it and I am framing it ASAP!  After the photo shoot we all headed toward the exit! It was a great night at MNSSHP! Mallory ran ahead and got in line for the bus…I told her that if she wanted to get on a bus and stand to go ahead and we would meet back at the room…I wanted to be able to sit with Kaia b/c I knew she was about to crash out and go to sleep. So Mallory hopped on the first bus standing room only and we followed in the next bus were we all sat down. As soon as the lights went out in the bus Kaia was asleep. It was kind of hard getting her to walk from the bus stop to the room…but I told her just to pretend she was sleep walking. We made it back to the room Mallory was already showered and in bed and well all followed. I set the alarm for 7:00 AM so I could pack this mess of a room! Tomorrow our first time at BOMA!

| Monday October 29 2007 I woke up about 30 minutes after the wake up call the next morning. Everyone else was sound asleep and I really wanted to keep it that way …I knew I could pack everything faster if everyone was not walking around taking things out that I already packed and such.  I took me about 45 minutes to get everything packed and ready to go in the car. I woke everyone up to get dressed and brush there teeth so I could pack up the toiletries and pj’s from the night before. Kaia was already starting to give me her sad face she did not want to leave. Me neither.  Our ADR for BOMA breakfast was at 9:15 and we were hauling our luggage to the car at 8:20 …so we were doing good on time. The weather was lousy rainy  and humid which made it a little easier to leave. We packed the car and Ben drove me close to the lobby …I jumped down and checked us out and we were off to the AKL…so long POP…we love you!!!!The rain was really coming down as we made our way to AKL…I told Ben to valet park so we didn’t have to walk in the rain…he was hesitant b/c of the cost …but I told him I would pay for it just do it….when we arrived at the valet parking we met a wonderful CM who took our car and let us know that the valet service was FREE b/c we had ADR’s that morning!!!! Yippy! We made our way to BOMA remembering how to get there from our night at Jikos. We checked in and were seated almost immediately.  not sure why i am making that face? Or why Ben's digging in my purse?   The breakfast was really good…the jungle juice (is this frunch?) was great! I could not imagine eating there and trying to go to a park ...i was so stuffed it was hard to move.     We all made our sad puppy dog faces b/c we had to leave.      We ate as much as we could possibly eat and then we paid our bill and headed to the gift shop for some last minute purchases before we left. I bought a box of chocolates for my mom and dad and a little stuffed Mickey mouse for Kaias new baby brother Luca. Of course I didn’t forget I owed Kaia a pin for Haunted Mansion so I picked her up a cute chip and dale pin…when I went to check out I learned a lifelong question I hade been pondering…. How do you tell the difference between Chip and Dale? I know many of you know but I was clueless the CM told me the trick … Chip had a brown nose like a chocolate chip and Dale has the red nose…. Eureka everything makes sense in the world now. Not to mention I impressed everyone on the car ride home with my new found knowledge.  After checking out we took a couple picture around the AKL and we were off to fetch our car from valet.    check out my pink crocs...lifesaver! The valet was very nice I tipped him well and he gave us directions to the interstate. As we drove under the gates to leaves WDW we all let out a little groan …but Ben looked at me and gave me the face to let me know we will be coming back real soon. Our drive home was uneventful for the first 10 hours…  Mallory even perfected her artistic talents on a magna doodle…   Of course as soon as we turned into the New Orleans Lakeside Mall (an hour from our home) to drop Kaia off with her dad our car started to stall and would not move….Kaias dad tried to help but it was not going anywhere …we pushed it into a parking spot and I called my dad. I told Dave to take Kaia home and we would call him about the car latter. Kaia and I shared a couple of big hugs and kisses  and her dad gave us a bottle of wine to thank us for taking Kaia with us.My mom and dad were on there way to pick us up so we went into the mall and had diner…my parents showed up about 45 minutes latter and we all piled into there car and finally made it home. When I got home I called Kaia and her dad said she had been talking nonstop about the trip for over an hour …I talked to her and she asked me if I though she would grow an inch before our next trip…I told her she probably would . Next Up…Wrapping it all Up!!!

| ITS A WRAP I was a girl scout camp counselor at summer camp for two summer in a row and we played this game/reflection with the girls at night it was called Thorns, Buds, and Roses. The Thorns were the unfortunate things that happened to us in the day. The Buds were thing we want to happen and develop in the future. And the Roses were the wonderful things that all ready happened. So that How I decide to wrap up my Jolly Holiday with Noonie trip… The Thorns: -Lack of professionalism in some of the CM’s. -Kaia not being tall enough for some of the rides. -Our car breaking down -Mallory and Ben getting Sick on our last day The Buds (thing for future trips) -One day I will see Spectro Magic and wishes -Eat at Kona Café breakfast -see La Noba -Stay at AKL -buy into DVC -bring Ben to see WDW all decorated for Christmas Roses: -celebrating our 1 year Anniversary at my favorite place -spending quality time with Kaia and Mallory -trying 4 new restaurants -meeting up with family -eating with the princesses -watching Kaia conquer her fears and ride everything -seeing Mallory act like a child again --seeing the Boo To You Parade on Main Street -Dream Squad encounter -Car waiting to break down when we were so close to home. Update! Update! Update!  #1 Our car was released from the shop yesterday …the whole transmission had to be overhauled….but we have a warranty so it was all covered and we had a rental car for the last 2 weeks….not so bad! #2 My DMIL is enduring her final round of chemotherapy this week…so keep her in you thoughts and prayers.  #3 I bought Kaia a wonderful Princess Scrapbook for Christmas so we can scrapbook this trip together. #4 Ben and I are planning another WDW trip for 2008 …we are not sure if we want to do 2 small trips or one big one around Christmas? (any advice would be nice) #5 Thanks everyone for reading our special TR! It was a great trip to WDW as always!

| It was a wonderful TR and I enjoyed reading it so much... Your last day seemed wonderful even with Ben and Mallory not feeling so well... Kaia earned her last button...you must be a very proud aunt. I think you made the right choice by changing your last ADR....your breakfast at BOMA's sounded great... All in all your trip sounded amazing and so glad you got to share it with your sister and your niece.... Looking forward to hearing all your plans for your 2008 trip.... |
