| Nov. 4th (the day before we leave) What a nightmare this day was. My sister had to work at two of her jobs (she has 3 if you were woundering and also babysits), so I had to deal with a cranky 13, 12 and a 4 month old all day. No one wanted to do anything. Had a stream of kids coming and going all day because when we leave to go on a trip the kids around here think we are never coming back. The 4 month old, ended up not going with us but on this day all he wanted to do was cry and be cranky. As always I was the only one that was packed and ready to go. When my sister got off work she has to go to the mall to still buy stuff for the trip. It should have only taken her an hour but with the 3 kids it took her 4 hours. Finally she got back and start to pack. Well that was a nightmare in its self. after an hour of her packing she came up with she did not know where her swimsuite and one shirt was. As always because I was ready to leave I did something with it. Well at this point off to walmart for her and the 2 boys to get more stuff that she forgot to get while I looked for the missing stuff at home. Well 5 minutes after she left I found the stuff. She finished packing and eating and hit the sack at about 8:30. The boys knew they would be without their computer, X-box, X-box 360, Game Cube, and PS 2 for a whole week so they were playing them while they took turns getting a bath, so I dont know what time they fell out. As for me I watched Amazing Race (the best team got out that night) and then I hit the bed at about 10:30. Hay 1 am comes really fast. I had just closed my eyes and it was 1 AM....time to get up. | Day 1-Nov. 5, 2007 Well when we last left off it was 1 am on depature day. As always I was the first up. I was told by my sister to get her up at 1:30. Well I called her after my bags were at the door and I was ready to go. Well her 1:30 wake up call really ment she would be up at 2 AM. And that was the time she said we were walking out the door. YAH RIGHT!! So after getting her up, the boys up and loading the car it was 2:30 when we left. (incase you are keeping up with changes from the pre-trip report, this is another one. she desided to sleep at home and drive up the morning of.) We had to stop twice on the way to the airport. Incase you were woundering the airport is 3 hours from our house. So we ended up getting to the airport parking lot at 5:26 AM. Well by the time we parked and got everything out of the car the bus was there to take us to the terminal. When the bus driver from the parking lot to the terminal was bad I knew it was going to be a bad week. This bus driver was missing peoples stops and everything. The one stop there was still about 10 of us that need to go to the next stop and this dingbat gets off the bus like we are not even there and starts to smoke. Everyone was like HELLO there are still some of us on this bus that needs to get to the next stop to get on our flights. By this time it was 5:35 AM. We checked in at airtran and that guy was another idiot (see a theme yet???? By 10 am we were on the ground in Orlando and on the DME bus. The driver was a little out there but a nice funny guy. We droped All Star Sports off first and then by about 10:30 we were checking into All Star Music. We were lucky to get into a room at that time. The down side was we were in nomans land. This kinda made us a little mad, my sister told the res dep that she needed a room as close to the main building as poassible, she has told them she would even pay so that she was garenteed to be close and the woman said no worry that because of medical problems they would put us close, well that went out the window. We desided to live with it, but that would be a mistake in less then 24 hours. We had desided that the first day there we would spend it at Epcot so that we could catch the monirail over to the Poly for dinner that night. Well we got to Epcot and had lunch at Electric Unbrella. We had not eatten here before so it was new. Two of us had chicken tenders and FF. One had a bacon cheese burger and FF and the other had a Grilled chix sandwich and FF. 3 cheesecakes and a cookie for dessert and 4 sodas. It was good, the youngest did not eat his bun because as he put it you dont put oatmeal on a bun. When lunch was over we desided to head over to world showcase. We got on El Rio del Tiempo in Mexico. That was a big thing in its self because the boys dont like getting on alot of new things. It was a cute boatride. I look forward to getting on it again next year. The boys wanted to try some of the shrimp at chili. We live on the ocean and eatting seafood is in our blood so this was a no biggie to us. They ended up eatting 4 cups of shrimp. I do have to say myself that they were some good shrimp. By this time we had been up for over 12 hours so we desided to head back over to the resort to take a rest. We had dinner at O'hana's for 8 pm. We headed over there. First the bus to MK and then the monirail to Poly. It took a little while for us to be seated but we did not mind. We overheard by people walking up wanting to get it that it would be close to 2 hours before they might be able to get in. We finally got in and seated. Our server was named Carlos. (he is one that even though he knows he is already getting a tip with you being on the DDP he still takes care of you. needless to say when we left he got an extra 20.00. More servers should be like him.) The shrimp was very good, I only got 2 pices because DNephew 1 ate all the Carlos kept bringing out for us. The chicken wings were really good also. The turkey was so tender that you could cut it with a fork. The stake was good. Now the pork I did not like that too much, I think it was a little dry, but my sister said it was just the pice I got that was like that. They said the breadpudding was great also, I could not tell ya the ansewer to that because I dont eat it. With dinner over we headed over to MK to get the bus back to ASMusic. This was the begining of a bad trip. Coming down the ramp of the monirail I did something to my foot and for the rest of the trip i could hardly walk on it. | So sorry about all the delays and the bad room location (I've walked all the All-Stars; I know how spread-out they are), but glad to see all of you enjoying yourselves at Epcot, and a wonderful dinner as well. Tomorrow doesn't sound so good, though ...

| Day 2-Nov. 6,2007 As always I was the first one up this morning. When I got up to use the restroom I found that my foot was really hurt from the night before. Well as they say the show must go on. I hobbled up to the store and got a wrap they had there. I wraped it up and went on. Today was to be Blizzard Beach and MGM. Well you will see in a few why that did not happen. After the kids and my sister was finally ready to go it was about 10:30. We got on the bus to Blizzard Beach. It was in the 80's today so it seemed like everyone went to BB. My sister chickened out about getting on anything. For this being our first time it was fun. Aaron (my oldest nephew) went on some of the slides with me. Thought I was going to die on the one. Can't remember the name of it but I was not on the mat all the way so most of the way down I scraped my knee and I thought that I was going to fall all the way off the mat. We got on the lazy river to get from one side of the park to the other twice. Then me and Aaron got on teamboat springs. We ended up in a boat with a family of 3 and let me say if you have never been on this before I would get on it. The slide dumped us out right where our stuff was. By this time my foot was hurting and I wanted to get a shower with time to rest my foot before we headed to MGM. I headed back to ASMus, knowing that my sister was looking for Kevin (my youngest nephew). So I got a shower and sat and waited for them to get back. Well 2 and 1/2 hours after he was last seen my sister had a light go off in her head, maybe I should say something to the staff. I had been telling her that for 2 hours. Well at the 3 hour mark, he was found. His dumb self was in the wave pool for 3 hours. By the time Kevin was found and everyone got ready we did not have time to go over to MGM and make or dinner res. (that is change 2 if you are counting). We still had some time before we had to go to DTD for dinner so we got lunch at the resort. For lunch we had 1/2 rosted chicken with rice and patatos with gravy. Turkey with patatos and greenbeans. Flank Stake salad. Chicken soup. 3 rice crispy treats, 2 sodas and a poweraid. Eveything was very good. We headed to DTD at about 6:30 for our res at Planet Hollywood. I sat because of my foot and the rest went to the record store to buy PSP games. We got seated just before 8 for dinner. For the appitizers we had chicken tenders, some texas toast nocho thing, patato skins and spinage dip. The next course was rebeye stake and FF, NY strip stake with patato and mixed veggies, Ribs with FF and Fryed Lassanue. And one pice of strewberry cheese cake. Everything there was good also. I would return for the food and nothing else. The place is very noiseie. Even with a hurt foot, a missing kid and not going to MGM it was a nice day. UP NEXT: DAY 3: DTD DQ and a stop for a lunch at the park. |
